Close to nature location with monkey action on the balcony
A lot of steps!! But that was a good practice for later on…
The food could be a bit better… some things like roto was a bit dry as well as the rice noodles

We absolutely loved our stay at Arana Eco Lodge! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and our room had so much character — it was so original and unlike anywhere we’ve ever stayed. It genuinely felt like we were staying right in the middle of the jungle!
The staff made the experience even more special. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. The food was also delicious, with a great choice of both Western and traditional Sri Lankan dishes.
One of our favourite things was the yoga centre. Make sure you catch a class or two while you’re there — it was such a lovely way to start our mornings surrounded by nature.
And if you’re lucky, you might even get some monkeys visiting your balcony! 🐒🌿
A truly unique and unforgettable place to stay. We would absolutely recommend Arana Eco Lodge! ❤️

The location is nice, the hotel is right in the jungle, and you can see different kind of animals all day long. The rooms are spacious and well equipped.
Unfortunately everything is getting rather old and would need some kind of renovation. E. g. lots of ants emerging from the gaps between the tiles in the shower.
We spend one evening having dinner at the restaurant. The food (veg. noodles and veg. Kottu) is rather simple and boring. Not bad, but too expensive for what you get.

The staff was very friendly.
The location is in the middle of the jungle so if you want to be one with nature it is beautiful (even incl the stairs).
Balcony views of the room was pretty
The walls are with mold which you can smell.
Bathroom was not clean a lot of creatures, smell was not very pleasant, outdated rooms.
The location is nice however complimentary tuktuk ride down would be appreciated.
