Located outside of train station .. Friendly staff recommended route walking past lovely old architectures in old town and very busy restaurant with great tasting thin and slippery pasta that was hidden away from main street .. we would never have found it ourselves ..

Great location right by Genova Principale station which was our base for travel
Staff were very friendly and helpful
Room was large with good light, offering a good view of the city
Great breakfast with lots of options for different tastes
The surrounding area is very busy
The layout of the breakfast area made it a little more busy than it needed to be. Flow could be easily improved for a better experience when busy

The room was large and airy, clean with sower and usual facilities. The bed was huge. Extremely well positioned to explore the city. Very friendly and helpful staff. They have a special relationship with a parking lot about 400 meters away, but first you have to get a special pass from the desk to access it.
Curiously, when you wanted to go to sleep, you had to get out of bed and switch the power off to the room to have darkness, otherwise there were still lights on. Also, the aircon which was very effective, was difficult to fine tune, it was either Artic or less so. Maybe if I'd spent more than 3 nights there I would have understood it better, but that shouldn't be necessary.

Very close to the train station which was our reason for booking this hotel to break up a long journey.
Bed was comfortable.
We had a ‘superior’ room, which was very spacious. However there were marks / scratches / holes in the walls, missing light fittings, grubby corners, lack of hot water & fridge / mini bar wasn’t working. Breakfast was awful, paper cups & stale pastries.
I knew this was a budget hotel, but still for the €150 price point I expected better. If you are looking for train station convenience, just go a little further into the town.
