This is a nice hotel with a very good location. It's in a nicer part of Genova, where you can go outside and find several restaurants, cafes, and the train station is in about 15 minutes.
The staff is super-friendly, the breakfast if good, but the options are somewhat limited. The room was nice and overall I'm pretty satisfied.
The biggest concern is that a little down the street there's a hostel with a bar, which is quite loud every night: up until 2 or 3 am. Because of that, sleeping with an open window is not an option. There is a working AC in the room, but I personally caught a cold because of it. But it shouldn't be a problem if you plan to party yourself.
The second problem is that there are two entrances in the hotel: on the ground floor and the upper floor (Genova has a lot of levels). The downside is that there's no reception on the ground floor, and basically everyone can enter the hotel. It didn't happen, but the realisation of it made my quite cautious.

Spotlessly clean rooms with good storage and work space, lovely staff who went out of their way to be helpful, excellent air-conditioning in very hot weather which made the room a haven to return to, very central location - walk to everything, good breakfast, easy access ice machine for filling water bottles before going out sightseeing in the heat, charger for hybrid vehicle.

Room was clean, had a safe and cabinet. That’s pretty much it. Nothing else. For €300 a night it is not worth it.
Facilities. Location - need to carry suitcases up 40 stairs to reach the hotels ground floor - that is if you walk from the station (about 10 - 12 mins). Not sure if Taxis can reach there either.
