The house was very spacious and provided many facilities including washing machine, cooking equipment, washing equipment etc and thr overall design was very aesthetic. The location is also really good, around a 2 min walk away from the station. I would definitely stay here again.

Traditional home in an idyllic neighborhood. Close enough to walk to Gion in 10 minutes but remote enough to enjoy serenity

Quiet area, big enough, and two full bathrooms. Has a traditional Japanese vibe. The fact that you can check in in their office next to the train station and leave your luggage there so that they can move it to the room for you (for a fee) saves time if you arrive during the morning and want to hit the city asap (only drawback is they open til 10 am, so don’t get there too early). Staff at the office was very friendly
Not located right in the hotspots, but not far either. Easy to move around

The location close to Gion was great - easy to get bus or train to sites. Washing machine and bathroom had been newly renovated, clean and lovely.
Sleeping arrangements. We thought a Japanese experience would be fun, but it meant nowhere to sit except the floor, and one couple were in a tiny room on the floor. Only partial handrail on steps was dangerous. Would probably suit young family better than 2 couples.
