It has an extra-large, well furnished, balcony off the dining and living areas that faces the beach with the most spectacular view of the Gulf of Mexico. The living area is very large with a Queen size sofa sleeper and a recliner for your comfort. It has a large flat screen HD TV and DVD player. There is seating for 6 at the dining table and seating for 2 at the long bar which faces into the fully equipped kitchen. There are windows on the west side bringing in lighter and more views. This space is perfect for entertaining. The master bedroom, equipped with a Tuft and Needle brand King size bed, faces the beach with large picture windows and a door to access the balcony. There are two comfy swivel chairs to enjoy the view, or the flat screen Roku TV. There is a spacious walk-in closet, and the master bathroom has a spa tub and shower combo. The first guest bedroom has a Full-size bed as well as a flat screen TV and DVD/VCR player. It also has a private bathroom with a bathtub/shower combo. The second guest bedroom has two Twin beds as well as a flat screen TV and a DVD player. The two guest bedrooms are connected by a smaller balcony for private reading time or enjoying the Gulf views. The condo has one more full-size bathroom, accessible from the main hallway, with a bathtub/ shower combo. There is also a separate laundry room in the condo with a full-size washer and dryer for your convenience. All of the TVs are connected to DirectTV and of course, there is free wi-fi.

Having ours on and his family was overall a very relaxed and enjoyable experience. The three bedroom makes it much easier to accommodate larger families. Myself being slightly handicapped would have felt more secure if the master bath would have had some assistance hand bars and maybe a handicapped commode but I survived so that maybe a future project to make it more handicapped accessible. Just a thought. Discovered some black mold over the two top cabinet doors above stove but as we didn't have to use them it didn't present a problem. Like I say it was overall a good stay and I only mention these things to maybe give the owners a review.

From the time we booked our trip to the check in at the Real Estate Office to walking in the door at the property the experience was perfect. This was our first time using VRBO, and I was skeptical. All of my fears were laid to rest the moment we walked in the door. There is a closet when we walked in with beach chairs, pool floats for our use. Each bedroom has a view of the ocean. My husband and I were traveling with two other friends, and my GF had her own mini master suite with her own bathroom and balcony with views. My husbands BF took the room with two twin beds and a balcony with views. In the master we had a HUGE bathroom with soaking tub, there is a massive closet where we laid out our suitcases and the big king bed was situated in the room so that we could see the gulf. A door that walked out onto the balcony adjoining the living room & dining room. Now for the amazing part.. the curtains were closed when we walked in and so we were able to take in all the comforts of this suite. Big kitchen with a long bar, full size fridge, stove, coffee maker and dishwasher & AN ICE MAKER! There is a long dining room table and we were able to invite my nephew and his wife over for a great seafood feast from Stewby's Seafood Shanty. Once the curtains were opened we had 200 degree views of the gulf and the beach. Seriously we were all blown away. The property was very clean, and better than the pictures or description. One small design decision we thought was a negative was the light fixture in the kitchen, it is a track light that hangs a little low for the two men we traveled with who were over 6' tall. They bonked their heads, but that was so minor and it didn't interfere with our amazing experience. The beds were all comfy, I asked everyone so I could accurately write this review. The towels were supplied and I knew there was a washer and dryer so I packed a couple tide pods so we could wash our stuff before we left. There are laundry baskets supplied for each guest.

We came to Fort Walton because our daughter had a cheer competition there & we decided to make a mini vacation out of it. We knew the water would probably still be cold seeing how it's April so we wanted a condo that had a heated pool & hot tub. Well the pool & hot tub was closed the whole time we were there, which was the 15th-19th. So we weren't able to do any swimming. My kids were pretty bummed. Had I known the pool was out of service we definitely would have booked a different condo. The hot water tank is way too small. There was 6 people in our group. Only 3 people could take a shower & then we were out of hot water. I did like that the condo was stocked with everything that we might need. But I would like to suggest putting hangers in each closet. I'm sure most people don't travel with hangers. So that would be nice to be able to hang up your clothes especially if you are going to be there for a while. Also, there was a very strange smell when we first got there. Kind of smelled like moth balls. Overall, not a bad condo. It had a beautiful view. The size of the condo was prefect.

As a long term renter (15+ years) of 701 Surfdweller, I am pleased the owner has listened to my suggestions & spent some of our massive rental increases to upgrade this condo. This is appreciated. However, my brother from Orlando visited us & slept in the back bedroom. They said that the mattress was “lumpy” & needed to be replaced. Also that the commodore in that bathroom needs to replace the internal “guts”. The internal seal is leaking & water continually runs to fill the tank. Also the microwave door handle was broken when we checked in & needs to be replaced. Also somewhere down the line the owner needs to think about updating the kitchen cabinets. They are 1960’s vintage. Don’t get me wrong. We like the condo. These are constructive comments to make it better. Also we love the improvements the owner has made in the master bedroom.

We’ve been going to Surf Dweller for more than 35 years. We’ve stayed in so very many condos here over the years. This 701 condo lived up to the pretty pictures and written description. We were seven adults and one infant and were very comfortable with the three bedrooms three baths and living room kitchen area. My only recommendation is to replace the sofa bed mattress. It’s springs poked my adult son that slept on it. The other beds were all comfy. It had what we needed in the kitchen for cooking, the ice maker was a nice perk too, 2 low beach chairs for our use at the waters edge were a pleasant surprise! My entire group voted to stay here again next year!
