About this condo rental

Nestled in Durango, this charming condo for $400 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This historic stone building was the Salvation Army building that was built in 1911. It is above my law office and was our New York style penthouse living quarters when a complete rebuild was done in 2009. It overlooks Main Avenue right next to Olde Tymers Cafe, and is two doors south from Carvers in Downtown Durango. It is a five star accommodation with an enclosed and heated garage for parking. In my opinion it is the most beautiful penthouse apartment in downtown Durango. The VRBO tenants confirm this description. It has first class amenities including high-end kitchen appliances, beautiful furnishings, Master bath with free standing soaker tub, steam shower, courtyard, and a balcony. It has double paned windows which allows for great insulation and low noise. My wife and I only want to rent to 2 adults, We want to keep the unit in beautiful condition, we only allow 2 persons to sleep in the unit. No large or loud parties. Although there is a small second bedroom, it is not okay for others to sleep there. If not approved by owners, a penalty fee will be added to your stay. The location is amazing, walk out your front door to great restaurants, bars and other amenities. It will not disappoint you. We rarely allow adult children to stay, and have recently made the decision to not allow young children. The place is perfect for two adults,,,,and the cleaning is so much more difficult when kids stay, as well as their impact on the space. This penthouse and its garage has another VRBO (212471) for additional accommodations for your additional guests (1BR luxury apartment above the garage) which can also be rented along with this unit.

Located on Main street, you can walk anywhere you'd want to go in less than 5 minutes. You park your car (in the garage, which is super-helpful downtown) and leave it there all night (walk to dinner, etc.). Master suite is absolute top-notch...10 out of 10. The kitchen is very nice (and fully equipped), but I can't imagine it ever gets used, there are restaurants everywhere. Living area/tv room is very comfortable with cable tv. For just 2 people it is very spacious.

Had a wonderful week-long stay in this luxury downtown apartment. Perfect location; generously equipped. We enjoyed parking in the garage after busy days then walking to restaurants. Seeing how Bobby and Lana had renovated and furnished this historic building was an added treat!

Pictures do not do this property justice. Staying in this loft was heaven on earth for us. My husband had to work during the week we stayed. There was a PERFECT space for him to do this and still have all the amenities of downtown living right at the front door! The garage parking was such an extra perk. Easy access in and out for me to sneak away to see family during the day. We felt completely spoiled. We like to cook and had a great time utilizing all the kitchen had to offer. No detail was overlooked in this space. Gorgeous and CLEAN…. Will certainly be back!

This is a beautiful property. Very spacious with very high end finished. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need - and more. Location was also very good - just on the edge of downtown so quiet but a very easy walk to the shops and restaurants. Owner was a joy to deal with. The garage was a nice add. Actual access to the unit is a little tricky at first but the owners instructions were very detailed. I would highly recommend this property.

Nothing spared in this luxury property. It was difficult leaving Durango because of the convenience and prime amenities here. Clean, modern seem inadequate adjectives here. Bed and linens were our favorite, second was the steam shower. Walk in closet and a gourmet kitchen to dream of on your flight home. Great communication with Bobby. Walked to a different restaurant every night, even though we rented a car, that we parked in a spacious garage that is included in the rental. We will be back. Can not recommend high enough this property.

A truly amazing penthouse! Beautifully furnished (one of the most beautiful VRBOs my husband and I have stayed! Pictures don’t do it justice.) Fully equipped kitchen, everything one could ever need. Wonderful attention to detail. Impeccably clean. Very comfortable. Perfect location to restaurants/shops and still very quiet. — Yes, some reviews may say too many notes in regards to care, etc. But we are truly thankful for those comments and detail. The lighting exceptional, without those notes we would have missed out on the special ambiance of the lighting. So, thank you Lana and Bobby for that detail. Thank you for your quick responses and wanting to make our stay perfect, as it truly was. We highly recommend this place, and would love to stay here again.

This was by far, the best experience we've ever had with a VRBO property. Great location and fantastic accommodations (nicer than the photos). The owners do have some specific requests that are documented throughout the property - but these simple tasks are what keep this place so very nice. We would stay there again without hesitation.
