I chose this place mainly because of its strategic location. It’s around a 40-minute drive from the port, which is relatively far, but it’s roughly halfway between the port and Diamond Beach. My plan was to rent a scooter and use the hotel as a base to explore the island, driving to Diamond Beach and then back towards Kelingking Beach, so for me, the location was absolutely worth the extra distance from the port.
The hotel rents scooters at a very good price, which made things even more convenient. There are also some decent shops nearby, as well as a nice beach club, so you have a few options around the hotel.
The rooms were very spacious, the beds were comfortable, and I really enjoyed the open-air bathroom, which was a fun touch. The staff were very nice and helpful, and the hotel can basically take care of everything you need during your stay. I rented a scooter through them, used their laundry service, and arranged both pickup and drop-off at the port.
Breakfast was also pretty decent and a nice way to start the day.
Overall, I had a great stay. If you’re planning to explore Nusa Penida by scooter and want a strategic base between the main beaches and the port, I think this is a very good option.
The few things I didn’t like were mainly related to attention to detail and maintenance.
For example, in one of the two rooms I rented, the bed had a net around it, and the top part of the netting was visibly dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while.
The biggest letdown for me was the pool. It didn’t look quite as well maintained as it does in the pictures. The water wasn’t as clear, and the pool area itself could use a bit more care and attention.
These are all relatively small things, but if the hotel worked on these details, the place would be an absolute blast. It’s very quiet, in a great location, and has a lot going for it. With a little more attention to these areas, I’d easily give it a 10/10.

great value for money! quiet hotel with kind staff, they are happy to help you get a taxi (no grab available on the island). nice pool where you can have a floating breakfast!
there was a slight moist feeling in the room, but perhaps that was just the material of the room (completely made out of wood, in this climate). water temperature in the shower was a bit inconsistent. the location was a bit secluded (not many bars/restaurants/... in the area)

Rooms were nice and spacious, staff were very friendly.
Bkfst not so good. Cold and eggs were watery. Many facilities advertised by hotel were not available such as nightly entertainment, happy hour, slippers in the room. No safe in the room.
