Great breakfast, fast service as the orders were put in the night before.
Cleanliness could of been better but due to the age of the building i can understand why. The toilet didn't seem to be screwed down so would move whilst in use. But other than that it was superb, fitted our needs for a reasonable price given the included breakfast.

Very well located, close to the A34 and the M4 and easy to find, but in a quiet village so no traffic noise.
Excellent helpful staff who allowed us to take over one of the 3 rooms we had booked ahead of the check time so that we could change for a family wedding - and who looked affter us very well at lunch and breakfast.
The rooms were unpretentious and charming - 2 on the ground floor, and one up a flight of stairs (within the 'apartment') - very clean and comfortable + well appointed with coffee and tea etc. All were in a quiet annexe to the side of the pub, so that we could let ourselves in late in the night. There was a convenient table outside our rooms, so we could sit outside and enjoy the sun.
We had a delicous pub lunch (really good salt and pepper squid, and very good sandwiches on delicous fresh bread + a decent burger, vegetable curry and a steak pie) - and a very good breakfast (a large continental breakfast plus a hearty english breakfast + delicious smoked salmon on scrambled eggs. A perfect start after a late night.

Exceptional food including breakfast wonderful kind happy energetic staff
The room needs more work shelves or cupboards in bathroom soap holder for bath
Extra pillows and a heavier duvet kettle needs to be discalced
