My husband and I stayed here for one night and overall had a very pleasant experience. Our room was beautiful, clean, and full of character, and we especially appreciated how dog-friendly the property was. The grounds and exterior of the inn were absolutely idyllic and felt like something out of a painting.
The only area that could be improved was the welcome and communication from staff. While we were shown to our room at check-in, we weren't given some basic information such as breakfast times or instructions for accessing the property after hours. When we returned around midnight, we weren't sure how to get back in. Fortunately, the manager was still around and was very friendly and helpful.
Overall, it's a charming and unique place to stay, and with a slightly warmer welcome and clearer communication, the experience would have been even better.

Our stay at the Jack Russell was very enjoyable.
The service was excellent and the food was very good. The bedroom was very comfortable with a lovely view. However, the lighting was very subdued which is relaxing but it would have been useful to have more efficient reading lamps. The breakfast bar was good but it would have been nice to have a selection of nuts and seeds and full fat natural yoghurt.
