Considering it was a Friday night and the pub was busy, the level of service was excellent. All staff members were friendly, helpful and attentive.
Pizzas were good.
The room was clean and bed was extremely comfortable.
Parking plentiful.
We stayed here as it was recommended by our wedding venue as a potential place for our wedding guests to stay.
Unfortunately, our room was uncomfortably small, with a rather tiny bathroom — I’ve seen bigger ones in a caravan! The pub was busy and clearly popular, which is great to see, but I feel the layout and general busyness would make it unsuitable for wedding guests to comfortably congregate.

Great stop off pub, food and accommodation on our way home from Devon. Large carpark.
Very comfy room, good shower, good food and drink in the pub and tasty breakfast.
This is probably nothing to do with the pub but there was very loud music being played from the early hours (midnight-ish until 3-4am). It could have been a pop up party van in the carpark but it was a bit of a nuisance and there are no staff on site overnight to put a stop to this.
Despite this probably one-off incident, we’d return as it works as a halfway stop-off accommodation.
