Aloft by Marriott Secaucus Meadowlands

The hotel was clean and the staff was very nice. We were able to go to the pool for a little bit, which was enjoyable. Initially, we were a little disappointed in the food options near the hotel. Buffalo Wild Wings is a few feet from the hotel, I was not impressed. I do not recommend the Blue Watermelon drink. Very syrupy and sweet. Back to the food options. That was our mistake because there are PLENTY of food options literally down the street and around the corner (GO Right when you leave out of the parking lot). Highly recommend the cafe on the corner. Carnegie Diner and Cafe. Unlimited mimosas for $20. However, you do have a 2 hour drink limit.

The hotel is quiet. However, you HEAR EVERYTHING. You can hear the toilet flushing in another room. The toilet in your own room may scare you. it's loud. That was a true turnoff for me. Besides that everything was enjoyable.

Perfect location! Friendly staff. Free parking! Access to on-site breakfast, bar and snacks.

It was a great location in regards to being close to American dream mall and not too far from Times Square.

The breakfast that I prepaid for was misleading when I added to my package on booking.com and not only was extremely limited items but didn’t even have juice or cereal or pancakes available for my 11 year old daughter. The oatmeal was watery and flavorless and the hot breakfast sandwiches were small, very greasy and seemed microwaved. On booking.com it conveyed that it was a hot fresh breakfast every morning. I would like a refund of my breakfast package as I threw the majority of it away everyday and didn’t even use the prepaid cards on the last morning of our stay because it was so bad. I’m very disappointed and dissatisfied and can you please rectify this for me. This was my first time using booking.com and aloft and would appreciate a good faith reimbursement of the extra I paid for these breakfasts. Also I asked for my AAA discount to be applied and the hotel said they never heard from booking.com on this even though I had a call in with booking.com and an email from booking.com was supposed to be sent to me to confirm the discount and wasn’t. I would like this discount to be applied. Booking.com said it was up to the hotel and they would work on my behalf to get the AAA discount honored. I look forward to hearing back on my AAA discount as well as reimbursement for the meals.
