Charming and romantic, this stylish 2BR chalet is newly remodeled using sustainable materials. The cozy A-frame features tasteful, modern decor in a fabulous setting, just 5 miles from Heavenly Resort, Sierra at Tahoe and Stateline. Arranged on two levels, this quaint home features a spiral staircase to a loft. This home has comfortable sleeping & dining for a family of 4. It cannot host more than 4 people over the age of 5. This applies 24/7. CDC-compliant cleaning & no-contact check-in. Home Summary: - Classic A-frame - 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths. 1 of the 2 bedrooms is a loft-style, with private 1/2 bath. - Located in a forested neighborhood - Ceiling to floor windows - Bedroom 1: Ground level, queen bed, access to full bathroom - Loft: up spiral staircase, two twin beds, half bath - Open-concept floor plan - Living room with HDTV - Cozy Electric fireplace - Fully stocked remodeled kitchen, with French door fridge and bottom freezer, electric stovetop, dishwasher -Back deck and small fenced in yard -Washer/dryer - Parking for two cars: one under the carport and one in the driveway - Please note: there is no garage. There is a small carport at the end of a short steep driveway that slopes down from the street. During winter, AWD or 4WD vehicle highly recommended. Chains a MUST if your vehicle is not AWD or 4WD. Driveway will be plowed, but you should expect snow and ice. Parking backwards will create the best traction. Nestled in a serene, forested neighborhood, this stylish 2BR chalet offers a picturesque retreat just 5 miles from the heart of South Lake Tahoe's premier attractions. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty surrounding the home, ideal for hiking, biking, and lakeside activities. Heavenly Resort, Sierra at Tahoe, and Stateline provide ample opportunities for skiing, shopping, and dining. The home itself, with its modern, eco-friendly design, spiral staircase to a cozy loft, and inviting electric fireplace, offers a tranquil base to return to after a day of adventure. Enjoy the open-concept living space and a private deck for quiet evenings under the stars. The downstairs bedroom hosts a queen size bed. Upstairs there are two twin beds in the loft. The downstairs full bath has a single sink, shower, and tub for the ultimate in relaxation. Just outside the living space on the ground floor is the quaint deck and fenced in backyard. Pets are not allowed. If you have a trained Service or ESA dog we can help you find a dog-friendly home for your stay. This home does not have air conditioning. It was a great spot for my wife and I. We went skiing in Heavenly and every place we wanted to go was 10-15 minutes away. Perfect spot for couples or small families. If we ever had questions, it was easy to get ahold of the owners.

This review is long overdue since it's a return visit, but everything was as we remembered and then some. I've always wanted to stay in an A-frame, and to say I've now been to one twice, and that it felt familiar and comforting as we stepped through the door is amazing. We loved being back in the space, soaking in the whirlpool tub, having breakfast and dinner at the long table, and just relaxing in front of the fireplace heater and tv. And it was fun to spot some of the changes as well - new deck! Lego set! It's one of the most stylish getaways I've ever been to, balanced out with some warm personal touches, including a very nice welcome back to us from the owner. Can't wait to come back again.

Overall, we truly loved the chalet and our visit to Tahoe! The cabin is a little far from town, so keep that in mind. The cabin was very clean, we just ran into some issues with our bed sheets upon arrival, but Jack was a doll and brought us clean sheets late at night! The main bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. I have back issues too so it was very apparent to me, but it might not be for someone else. That is really my only complaint. Seriously, it is the cutest cabin and we would recommend it to anyone that doesn’t mind staying a short drive from town!

I was so glad to find this cozy place and stayed there with my husband, relaxed and enjoyed Tahoe's nature. I'd like to propose a couple of things, so people after me could feel even more cozy! 1. I really needed some sleepers there. The floor was so cold, my socks got dirty easily and I had to wear some of my thin socks. I wish I had sleepers with me 2. I am not sure if someone noticed that, but bedding (matress) on the first floor has a yellow puddle on it, and when we slept there, we smelt (I am so sorry for writting this)... we felt a smell of child's pee. Sleeping there was a bit uncomfortable. Overal, I would recommend this cabin to my friends!

The cabin was extremely clean and quiet. Nicely remodeled and utilized space to give you the most room. Perfect location. 10 mins to Stateline and 5 mins to grocery stores in either direction. Rental staff was excellent, very great communication and they made everything perfect. I would highly recommend this cabin if your looking for a nice getaway.

This is a wonderful home, beautifully appointed, in close proximity to all of the fun of South Lake Tahoe. While cozy, it was the perfect size for my small family.
We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, and resting after long days of skiing.
Everything associated with the property is precisely as described. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The property is so beautiful, with an incredible amount of snow! The A frame design was cool! The cabin it’s self was warm and cozy, clean and bright. Plenty of amenities and we never felt like we were in need of anything. Thanks Kulhaus for an amazing stay to welcome me into my 40’s on this birthday weekend! Hope to come again!

Great cabin for a smaller family 1-2 children. Heavy snow over the weekend but snow removal team was on top of it for the driveway. Very modern kitchen suited to the coffee lover. Staff was very responsive to a request for an additional day due to stormy conditions. Will definitely be back!

Very cute cabin. Looks just like the pics on the website. Location is perfect. Close to shops and ski resort. Fully equipped kitchen. Only cons for us was that the tv in the room is not a functioning tv. The electric fireplace was not working either.. other than that it was great for a couple and maybe 1 more adult upstairs.

100% would recommend this cabin! My husband and I spent a cozy weekend here and we absolutely loved the space! Kitchen was well stocked, everything was clean and they even left the lights on for us! The location is only a few mins away from a grocery store and convenient to the nearest slopes and hikes.

Stayed at Kulhaus cabin in South Lake Tahoe for 3 nights in Oct 2022Pros - Cute cabin, good location, very nicely decorated, gift basket at arrival, fully automated check in process which is nice as you get your lock code prior to arrivalCons - Not very clean, had hair on the bed/pillow, so many cobwebs pretty much at every corner of the cabin, we saw and killed 2 spiders, pillows were not comfortable, fire place did not work well, central heating is so loud that you can barely hear anything else, check out time was 10am

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and absolutely loved the house. Very clean and the perfect size for a small group. We appreciated the welcome basket and all the amenities the property had to offer including the fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. We also loved the recommendations for locally owned restaurants. Location was easy to find and located in a quiet neighborhood less than 10 minutes from downtown/lakefront.

Had a great three days in this cabin. The description / pics don't do it justice - wonderful place with lots of extras (well stocked kitchen including tea/coffee and a complimentary bottle of wine, super comfortable bed and lots of nice touches). 10 min drive to pretty much anywhere you want to go in South Lake Tahoe. Will definitely return as/when we are back in Tahoe.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful A-frame cabin - it is even better than advertised. Everything in the cabin is very high end, super clean and very well maintained. We enjoyed all of the great amenities such as the beautiful outdoor sitting area, the deck and grill, the record player, full modern kitchen and cozy living area. This cabin is perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood about 15 minutes from Heavenly. We highly recommend this cabin for anyone visiting the South Lake Tahooe area

This place was even better than expected. The air quality on our drive up was unexpectedly terrible due to the Oak fire, so we called friends driving up later to please buy air purifiers for us on their way up. We needn't have worried, because this place already had several top quality air purifiers on site! In fact, they've thought of lots of little details for a comfortable, convenient stay: fans, clothes steamer, bandaids, and plenty of electrical and USB outlets! Plus it's so cute and clean. I'll definitely try to stay here when I'm up next year.

Perhaps the best VRBO we've ever stayed in!
This house is very well done. It's cute in and out and the attention to detail is amazing. The decor is fun and comfortable. I LOVED the kitchen and the chalkboard door with all of the helpful hints. The kitchen comes stocked with every appliance you may need (including at least three different coffee machines) plus some spices. We loved the outdoor table and fun patio sitting area where we played scrabble (provided) in Adirondack chairs covered in blankets (provided). There are even beach towels for the beautiful nearby beaches. I can't say enough about how wonderful this property is for our trip! I would come back in a heartbeat.
There are two heads up that I want to mention that didn't impact us at all but may impact others. There's a narrow spiral staircase leading up to the second floor. We were two adults and I think teens would be fine but I would worry about little kids on those steps. Also, with any A frame house, there are a few areas where you need to watch your head. This house may not be optimal if you're a clumsy person.
