The "Payson House" is spacious with magnificent, unobstructed views of trees and mountain surroundings from inside and out. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood. Relax on the porch swing and watch birds and hummingbirds fly by. The living room has comfy leather furniture with large windows to enjoy the view. The house features four bedrooms, two baths and sleeps 12-14 comfortably. The Payson House is in a great location......in Payson! Just 1 mile off of the Beeline Hwy(87), so you'll be close to town for all your shopping needs, from grocery stores, restaurants, theater. park and Mazatzal Casino. If you just want to kick back and relax or take on the great outdoors, the Payson House offers both. Incredible hiking area just 5 minutes away with easy to intermediate hiking, with trails that lead to the top of the mountain range that you can see from our viewing deck....beautiful! (Bring your binoculars!) Superb Mountain Biking just minutes away as well! Lounge in the 'Little Forest area" down below the main house where you will find a fire pit and benches for casual conversation or for a larger group. Pitch a tent(s) and view the stars at night while eating a delicious s'more. There is a CORNHOLE game. We also have a Pool Table and a Ping Pong table! WE ARE PET FRIENDLY! Outside our back door is a great area to walk your pets. Plenty of places for hiking for you and your dog(s). If you like to fish, many lakes are to be found on the Mogollon Rim. You are only 40 minutes from Roosevelt Lake which is known for fantastic bass fishing. The East Verde River is only 20 minutes away and is stocked on a weekly basis during fishing season. The owner usually gets his limit almost every outing. Woods Canyon lake is also great for fishing and kayaking, etc. We are just forty minutes away from Kohls Ranch, which offers horseback riding and fishing on Tonto Creek. Tonto Creek Fish Hatchery is a must see! The Natural Bridge is just 15 minutes away. ATTENTION- this vacation home is located in a quiet family-oriented neighborhood and is only suitable for quieter groups. Our rental policy includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy, and parties. Evictions and forfeitures of deposit for any violations of said policies are strictly enforced. Please be sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting The Payson Home.

We went up hoping to catch some snow and got there just before and left just after it arrived. The property was well heated, and the snowy view was amazing.
The owners offer great amenities, the bedrooms offered lots of sleeping options, and the pool table was a blast.
The walking trails were great for the dogs, who really enjoyed the wrap-around deck. Any questions we had were quickly answered and the available wood was a lifesaver when we didn't want to drive in the snow.

We spent a long weekend with friend/family in Payson hiking and fishing while escaping the Phoenix heat. Loved the property including the view off the deck, fire pit and ping pong / pool table!

This is a very well-maintained older home. Excellent covered deck recently upgraded with special decking and with nice views as in photo - a nice place to relax when it rains. Bathroom showers have been updated nicely. The beds are comfortable. The AC appears to be new and worked well. The fire pit area is spacious, and firewood is available - great area to relax. It's close to the edge of town which provides an open view and secluded feeling toward the south. Overall, a good value.

Loved the location. Beautiful neighborhood and the house was so big to accommodate my family who met there from Texas. Only the tiny red ants in the kitchen bothered those of us with OCD. Lol

My husband and I took our adult children and one grandbaby for our belated Xmas vacation. It was a nice, fun, relaxing weekend. We took walks, played the pool/ cornhole/ping-pong that was offered. Enjoyed a couple of nights out by the fire pit after the snow melted back.

We stayed a month. House can easily accommodate visiting family and friends. It’s well stocked with sports equipment, puzzles, games, even a high chair. Close to many trailheads and creeks for fishing. It’s really beautiful country!

We absolutely loved our stay here!! The property is perfect for a group and the home is very comfortable and can easily accommodate a lot of people. It’s well stocked for cooking and provides everything you need. The location is amazing as stores are conveniently located and it’s really just a perfect distance to come here quickly from the Phoenix area and be in the mountains. I highly recommend this place!! We will be back!

Pleasant stay, very peaceful
We stayed a few nights at the Payson House and really enjoyed our time. Had numerous games, a ping pong table, and a pool table for our enjoyment as well. Outdoor covered patio/balcony was beautiful place to just sit outside and enjoy the outdoors, although the photos are slightly deceiving as to the remotness of this location. Pictures make it appear as though the backyard is open to national forest preserve. And while the area is amazingly beautiful, it is still in a neighborhood with other homes. Still, I would stay here again because it really was a pretty place.

House location was great. Close to town but far enough from traffic and noises. House is out dated, as far as appliances. However, they all worked, which was great. The owner was very communicative. Beds were very comfortable. Lots of games for the kids to play down stairs.

If you want to relax after a leisurely day of beautiful hiking, there are movie apps and streaming capability on the big television in the living room. You can also relax with a warm fire by the fireplace in the living room. The grocery store is about 2 miles from the house and there are a bunch of good restaurants to sample. We come to this amazing home at least once a year... and it is always a good experience. Thanks to you both....

If you want to relax after a leisurely day of beautiful hiking, there are movie apps and streaming capability on the big television in the living room. You can also relax with a warm fire by the fireplace in the living room. The grocery store is about 2 miles from the house and there are a bunch of good restaurants to sample.
