I love the friendly staff and all of the amenities and services offered. Prices could be cheaper as far as extra stuff that were charged .

The staff were very helpful and warm. The casita pool bar was fantastic and the beachside beds/cabanas were so relaxing and comfortable. Plus, the massage was wonderful - and the spa staff were very accommodating, as they could only get us in for last minute appointments close to closing due to our schedule. They stayed late and didn’t rush us.
The only negative of the trip was we couldn’t book excursions in advance and once we arrived, it was backed up to even meet with the Lomas coordinator which took a time away from relaxation and activities on our short trip.

Room was dark and dated. Food in the evening was inconsistent and often lukewarm - the lightning speed it was served at suggests it was pre-prepared and just kept warm in the kitchen. We tried 2 evening buffets and both were diabolical - poor choice and cold. The Mexican Gala evening was particularly awful. Beach was disappointing - concrete blocks made it look like a WW2 landing beach - no one swam in the sea. Hotel recommended day trip to Chichen Itza was poor - way too long at nearly14 hours with over 2 hours spent picking up and dropping off other tourists
