About this house rental
Located where the San Juan River meets the ocean, our house is just steps from the ocean and has peekaboo views of the ocean and river mouth. This comfortable and spacious 4 bedroom cabin is the ideal home-away-from-home, and is very well equipped to accommodate families, with two full bathrooms and two levels. Very private, pet and kid-friendly fenced yard, back deck and gardens, with lots of room for you to bring an extra vehicle or boat. Only 50 yards/m to the waters edge from the front yard, and a short 2 min. walk to the public beach access down the street. Perfect setup for surfers - paddle in/paddle out to the break right out front from the house, and rinse off in the gorgeous outdoor hot shower after your session! Private backyard fire pit, BBQ, electric fireplace, full kitchen with dishwasher, outdoor shower, spacious laundry/mud room, covered front porch, ample parking, WiFi and ocean views are just some of the added features of our beach home. There are two bedrooms on the main floor: the master bedroom has a king bed with ensuite walk-in closet and bathroom, plus sliding glass doors onto the back deck. The second bedroom on the main floor has a king bed and bathroom right across the hall. On the second floor there is a charming and bright attic bedroom with one single and one double bed. A second, very spacious attic bedroom has one king and one queen bed. Please note the house does not have air conditioning, so during the summer months we rely on open windows and ocean breezes + fans to keep the temperature comfortable at night. This is an amazing, ruggedly beautiful part of the coast - enjoy fresh ocean air and beach walks at your doorstep, salmon and fresh water fishing, hiking/backpacking on the Juan de Fuca or West Coast trail, biking, and surfing at Sombrio only 15 minutes away! The house is located right at the river mouth which is also great for flat water canoeing/kayaking and SUPing. Stayed two nights for a one day fishing trip. House was clean and beds were comfy. Make sure to go shopping before hand and double check with host that the kitchen has what you need if you plan on cooking your own meals.

My husband and I hiked the Juan De Fuca Trail and celebrated with our friends at Seaglass once we came out of the forest. Seaglass was the perfect oasis to come back to the world to. We brought friends from across BC and Alberta together in our VRBO home for the weekend and could not have celebrated in a better place.

Enjoyed all the comforts provided. The location is perfect for a family gathering. We were able to go out for dinner and cook in the well appointed kitchen! Lovely walks to the beach…comfy beds .. everything was wonderful!

The weekend was amazingly easy and Seaglass Cottage filled the bill. The kitchen was well equipped for all kinds of meal preparations.
The fenced yard was perfect for both dogs and toddlers. Lots of playing spaces.

The place worked perfectly for a long-planned friend reunion, and is well-equipped for all rooms, kitchen, grill, etc (with the odd and inconvenient exception of a "bring your own beach towels" rule that we had missed prior). The only two (minor) negatives were slow (day+) communication with the host and a few minor mismatches in the description -- e.g., the listing says there is a landline, but that has been disconnected (wifi still works great), the check-out time says 10 in some places and 11 in others, and the "sauna coming in Summer 2022" is not yet operational (as of late July -- granted summer is not over!). Still a five-star stay, just relating those to be aware of. Would definitely return!

Perfect for a family getaway!
Has everything you'll need for a family or friends getaway. It was nice to have the crib for my grandson. It's close to the beach, the new pickle ball/basketball/tennis courts and kids playground. I've already booked our stay for next year!

An exceptional time!
We had a great stay at the sea glass house! The location is perfect. It is a short walk to the beach where you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, and a perfect location for accessing all of the sights around port renfrew. The back porch gets drenched with afternoon sun and we enjoyed the fire pit, outdoor shower, and bbq. The house had everything we needed and was very charming and clean. It is the perfect house for families and kids, and even had a high chair and crib. We would be back in a heartbeat!

Our group loved Christine's place. A fantastic property for a group get together with plenty of space. The garden area was incredible, with a great deck and firepit to enjoy the outdoors and the huge beds were very comfy. The outdoor shower was a real gem and a resounding highlight for the group. Christine was very helpful before, during and after our stay! Would recommend to everyone.

Lovely stay, perfect house
We came to Port Renfrew to go fishing for halibut. We had a mix of friends and family staying in the house. The house is very perfect for mixed groups. Lots of bedrooms all spread out. Nice big comfy beds and quality bedding. It's bright and clean.
My most favourite thing about seaglass was the outdoor shower. Whether rain, sun, cold, night or day it was so special. We absolutely loved it!
The yard and decks were also great.
Good fishing spot on the river right across the street and great beach a few minute walk away.

We had a wonderful time. Well stocked home, close to everything. A park down the street, short walk to the beach, 15-20 minute drive to all tourist attractions. This place had everything we needed and then some. Christine was very quick to reply to questions and touched base before our arrival. We will defiantly be back. Thanks for sharing your space with our family, we made some life long memories.
