The location was easy to navigate. Lots of birds of different species. Very tropical!

Views were incredible very helpful staff
Very short period of time for breakfast, because we were out and about it meant we missed the breakfast 2/3 mornings.

The views of Arenal Volcano from the room were superb. There’s a nice (short) hiking trail from the lodges that takes you into the rainforest. We saw a sloth in one of the trees! The room and bathroom were spacious for two people and it felt very comfortable
Some of the facilities in the room are looking a little dated, and it sounded like there was a bird nesting inside the air conditioning!

The room was very cute with nice little touches like wine glasses, silverware, plates, a refrigerator and safe, and even a steamer and hair dryer. We also enjoyed the in-room hot tub.
An army of ants invaded the room at nightfall and we had to attack with spray we'd brought. We had this problem before when we stayed in August, and even wrote the hotel to ask them to make sure the problem was taken care of. The opening under the door needs to be sealed! Someone came in to spray after we already had done so; he shrugged off the problem and didn't bother cleaning up all the ant corpses. Because of the attitude and not fixing this problem, we would never stay here again. Also, the breakfast is mediocre at best.
