The Collection is an exquisite hotel, hidden away from the hordes that sadly descend so many greek islands these days. Our room was "so much more than just a room". We were in the House of Seas. The bedroom was lovely, with amazing artwork and comfy beds. We had an entrance hall, sitting area with table and chairs and TV and a fab bathroom. It was kept immaculate clean.
The pool area with bar and pool are gorgeous, with plenty of loungers and umbrellas.
There is also another sitting area on the same level as the rooms, with was wonderful to sit in overlooking the sea and the unbelievable sunsets.
But even more special was George and his incredible team of 5 (3 of whom are from one family) who have been with him for many many years and are so lovely, kind, efficient and did everything to make the stay comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. taxis were booked, restaurants recommended, reservations made, cancelled, made again, all with smiles and a genuineness that you rarely find anywhere these days. They were exceptional.
I can't recommend the Collection highly enough.

There was nothing we didn't like. It would be lovely to have a magnifying mirror in the bathroom for makeup (my old eyes aren't what they were!). And we could't get the speakers to connect with music, but that was probably us and we didn't want to hassle the team too much!

The staff were amazing from the moment of booking, allowing me to make special requests and plan a great holiday. The location is great and the view is even better! I would highly recommend this place to anyone going to Santorini

Let's face it! 🤩 The stellar service started before the trip began! Eleni greeted me via email to welcome us to the hotel, extend their services, and arrange transportation. She responded quickly to all of my questions and answered all of my questions.
When we got to Santorini airport, the driver was there as expected. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted by Mr. Mongi, one of the hotel managers, and his staff. They took out bags and Mr. Mongi gave us a tour of the hotel. It only has a few rooms, called houses. Each "house" has a different style. The hotel itself is a tour through history, with antiques, books, and beautiful art! All of this is surrounded by a breathtaking view no matter the weather!! The sunsets were amazing!
Breakfast was delivered every morning upon request and served royally. There was always more than enough. I particularly love that, in their communications, they emphasized conserving waste and being specific in ordering what you need. For example, I asked them to remove the sliced bread from the breadbasket and just leave the croissants. They encourage that!
As blessing would have it, we had the wonderful opportunity to meet Mr. Tsitoura himself. He had flown in for the day. He was so humble and kind, he introduced himself as Eleni's father. I was overwhelmed!! He showed us inside another house that leaves me speechless!! You really have to see it to comprehend the amazing that this hotel is!

Really, I can't think of anything. We are a little independent and I wish I would have used the benefits of talking to the hosts, more. In sure he had some more suggestions that I could have benefitted from. My dream vacation was dreamy!
