Location and breakfast
I smelled cigarettes all the night in my room from my neighbors I believe, although smoking is only allowed in the terrace. Not sure why it gone through my room

The location is awesome, in the heart of the old city, the hotel is historical. The stuff is very friendly. The sea view is more than awesome.
It is in a noisy area and the isolation is not enough to block all the noise. The room facilities are a bit old.

Exceptional location - take a sea view!- and gorgeous hotel, former palace.
Warm staff, most were welcoming and attentive. Unbeatable breakfast panorama.
Warmly recommend - we stayed many times in Alexandria and this was a great hotel.
The Hotel staff insisted on us paying a higher minimum charge if we wanted to sit on the top floor bar, while we saw it was almost empty at 5pm and we said we would only stay for 30 minutes. And we stayed several nights. Really unacceptable and rude.
Shower water spreading outside of the shower should be fixed.
Food quality is not remarkable.
Tipping is a mess: creating a team box for tipping at your reception desk would increase tipping from european tourists.

Location with excellent views from rooftop cafe/restaurant overlooking the bay
service was very poor for a luxury hotel, as compared to other luxury hotels I’ve stayed in Egypt for the last three weeks.
