KOKO HOTEL Osaka Shinsaibashi

Location is amazing, few steps from shopping street and many restaurants and bars around. Design of the property is fantastic, loved the building itself. Inside room is quite small but not unusual for Japanese sizes

Location, staff

Very friendly staff and good breakfast, everything you need is provided, and our kids loved the stay. There’s self service washing machine and dryer in hotel that’s very convenient.

Room cleaning is on every three days but still can put rubbish outside the room and ask for new towels in the morning.

Location, lovely building

Overall, the hotel was nice, and the rooms were slightly bigger than those in many other hotels in Japan. However, don’t expect too much space, as the rooms are still relatively small. The hotel had laundry facilities, which came in very handy during our stay. The location was decent, around a 10-minute walk from the river, and there were toothbrushes and other useful amenities available for guests. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but it was better than those in many other places we stayed. Overall, it was a decent hotel with useful facilities and a convenient location, making it a good option for a short stay in Japan.

Overall, the hotel was nice, and the rooms were slightly bigger than those in many other hotels we stayed in Japan. However, don’t expect too much space, as the rooms are still quite small. Personally, I wasn’t very happy with the room size, as it felt a little cramped, especially when travelling with luggage. The bed was also not as comfortable as I had hoped, which made the overall experience less enjoyable. One positive was that the hotel offered laundry facilities, which came in very handy during our stay. They also provided useful amenities, such as toothbrushes and other essentials, which was a nice touch and meant we didn’t have to worry about bringing everything ourselves. The location was reasonably convenient, around a 10-minute walk from the river, making it possible to explore the surrounding area on foot. Overall, the location and available facilities were definite advantages. Unfortunately, the staff could have been much friendlier and more welcoming. They didn’t seem particularly happy or approachable, and the service lacked the warmth you would hope for when staying at a hotel. A friendly greeting and a more positive attitude would have made a big difference to our experience. Overall, the hotel was decent and had some good points, particularly the laundry facilities, basic amenities, and location. However, the small room, uncomfortable bed, and unwelcoming staff meant that the stay wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. It was an acceptable option for a short stay, but there is definitely room for improvement, especially when it comes to guest comfort and customer service.
