History is just around the corner from Crab Quarters with the Whalehead Club, the wild horses of the northern beaches and the famous Currituck Lighthouse just minutes away. Just 214 stairs to the top! Property Bedding: 2 Queens, 2 Duo-bunks, 2 Twins, 1 Daybed, 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa. Upper Level: Screened porch Living room Dining area Full kitchen Half Bathroom Spacious decking Captain's Watch. Mid Level: 2 Masters w/ Queen Beds 1 Bedroom w/ 2 Twins 1 Bedroom w/ 2 Duo-Bunks Laundry with Washer and Dyer Full Hall Bathroom Decking on 4 sides Hot Tub Ground Level: Recreation room with daybed w/ trundle (Note: This converts to either 2 Twins, or 1 King). The private saltwater pool is 16x46 with poolside powder room. The pool depth is 3 to 6 feet. Very buggy, lots of spiders, top of refrigerator full of bugs… Very outdated and needs an upgrade. There were two beach chairs that were both broken. Chairs on the deck broken. Would not stay here again.

Summer break kick off

Perfect Pool and location
We loved our stay at Crab Quarters! The pool was amazing for all of the kids and wonderful break from the beach when needed.
Very easy walking distance to the beach (maybe 5 mins tops) on a trex boardwalk. Loved the trees around the property that give it a private feel. Good kitchen working space. Plenty of deck space too! Could use a few updates to the TVs and would suggest replacing the wicker furniture with a nice pull out sofa/chairs. Would definitely look to return again!

We absolutely loved the property, location, and area. The house was beautiful and the pool was amazing. Everything was very clean and the hot tub was hot. It was just a short walk to the beach on a newer boardwalk. The house was in the perfect location for a short drive to food or shopping. We loved this property and are already looking to come back next summer

Great time!
This was our first time at the beach in a while and we had a great time. The weather was perfect and the house and location were great! The only complaint we had about the property is not having a gas grill. We will definitely stay in this house in the future again and will just rent a grill prior to the week (we tried to rent one and they were sold out). The pool was amazing and the house was very clean!!

House was better than pictures! Everything was clean and house was in a great location just 0.25 miles to the beach. Pool was huge! Bathroom by the pool came in handy. This was our first time going to OBX and would defiantly go back to this house again!

The one over due update for this place is the mattresses- very, very soft for our taste. We would most definitely stay here again (this was out second year renting this house - first time in nine years of OBX trips where we stayed in the same house twice).

i booked this house because the photos of the pool & area surrounding looked like a place I wanted to spend my days! Needless to say, there was No disappointment! The pool is huge with great furniture for lounging! We spent most of our days there )even in the rain)! The outdoor restroom is another great bonus! The house was beautifully decorated & comfortable & plenty of room for 10 adults! the beach was about a 4 minute walk & at night you can sit on the balcony & hear the waves crashing. The only thing I can think of that might need some attention is the mattresses on the bunks! Also, the description says horseshoes, I never seen any, so we rented cornhole, it was delivered & picked up! I had a couple issues upon arriving to the house but they were taken care of with a quick call to Carolina Shores!

Location is everything at Crab Quarters. With 6 kids between the ages of 4 and 13 the pool was used almost non-stop. We're planning another visit next Fall. Access to a lot of restaurants and attractions, not to mention the always busy Food Lion (those 6 eating machines again) made the week one of the best family vacations ever, if not THE best.

This was our first time vacationing at OBX. We had our children and grandchildren with us. The weather was perfect! The house had everything you would need and more. The pool is by far the greatest asset. We enjoyed it morning, noon and night. Not too far from the beach. Owners very nice: they called to make sure we made it safely and to answer any questions we might have. They also gave us some sightseeing tips! We have already reserved it for next summer.

Very disappointed. The pool man took it upon himself to call the owners and told that we gave a huge party. The truth is we had 20 people there. The elderly could not climb the stairs, so we accomadated several around the pool. Some could not stop down to the pool because the drain had it covered in water. Pool filter was clogged with frogs and impacted pineedles. Refrigerator and freezer stunk, we had to throw out other renters food. Then we cleaned the refrig and freezer. The place is old and out dated. Not worth the price we paid.

This house is in need of many updates and a good cleaning! This house is used for an investment with little thought on the owners part about guests. The bed spreads are old the couch cushions are worn to the point it is like sitting directly on the rattan. The refrigerator is held together with duck tape there is mold on the shower curtains and the pots were disgusting, the property management did supply new pots and a new grill after the one on the property rotted through and fell apart. The only plus to this house is the pool. I have rented many beach houses in the past this one is unacceptable!

We had two families stay in this great house in Corolla. We had 4 adults and 6 kids. There was room for 1 more kid to sleep comfortably. The location was great. A nice short walk over the boardwalk to the ocean. In the evening you can hear the ocean from the deck, but you can not see it. The pool was wonderful! It would be nice if the hot tub was down by the pool but it is on the other side of the house on the first deck. The only thing I would say is the beds are not that comfortable. They could use an upgrade there. Otherwise I would recommend this house for sure. Unfortunately Hurricane Arthur forced us to leave early which was a real bummer! We would rent this house again in a heartbeat.

For my family, a vacation rental has to have a pool and this one is excellent! The house itself is great with plenty of room and amenities. This was the second time we rented. The bathroom at the pool area was a great addition. The next terrific addition would be a tikki bar with a fridge and a sound system. You would never need to go anywhere else!
