The hotel staff is extremely polite and professional, with the exception of the security chief. The hotel is gorgeous. The location is amazing. The rooms are a delight. The spa is luxurious.
The security chief must have missed his true calling – his attitude would be perfect for a nightclub bouncer, but it felt oddly misplaced in a hotel restaurant.
During dinner, we bought a bottle of vintage wine from the restaurant to celebrate the end of a tough mountain bike route. Moments later, the same security chief appeared and sternly declared that opening and drinking wine in the restaurant was prohibited.
The rule wasn’t written anywhere, and no one mentioned it when we bought the wine. Still, I accepted it without argument and simply asked where we could move to enjoy our meal and wine. Instead of assistance, we received only another cold “no.”
So, we ended up quietly moving our plates and wine to a corner where we wouldn’t disturb the hotel’s sense of order. It was the only unpleasant moment of our stay – and quite a memorable one, for all the wrong reasons.

Amazing views, nice pool and spa, good breakfast, could have been better with this price.
Disgustingly overpriced. The room was extra small, you could’ve broken your legs moving in this tiny room. And the bathroom- worse - felt like an airplane toilet. With all this - the room smelled somehow funny, didn’t get where this smell was coming from, probably poor air conditioning. And what’s the deal with two small mattress in a double bed? It was extremely uncomfortable, never seen anything like this in a hotel room. Unbelievable. Could’ve payed only 1/4 of a price I’ve paid anywhere else and the room would’ve been much more comfortable.
