It’s in a great location, clean and mostly quiet. The host has a wealth of information about the area.
The hill is short but steep, I only found it an issue with my luggage.

Great location really close to the town centre and train and bus station about 15 minutes walk. Room 1, although a single, was a really good size, really clean and comfortable.
Everything was good. Just the walk up the hill is a bit of a workout.

I stayed in a Large Single Room. It was the perfect size for me with my hiking gear. Plenty of space for everything. The whole building was very looked after. The breakfast was very nice with a lot of choice/flexibility. The owners could not have been more friendly, and furnished me with a lot of information about Kendal itself and the bus services. The B&B is very close to the centre of town. But it was very quiet, so perfect in that respect. All in all, a lovely place to stay, and I will be staying there again (I have booked already!)
As described on the web site, the B&B is not suitable for children or pets and those with limited mobility. It is up a shortish but very steep hill, and then there a number of steps to negotiate, and the rooms are also upstairs. The access was not a problem for me or the vast majority of people, but others might find that difficult.
