Easy access to public transport to city centre. Good range of shops nearby

This is a decent budget hotel. The room quality, though, varies significantly. I would recommend getting the superior/deluxe rooms. The base level rooms appeared to be marginal. The breakfast was good - eggs, rice and beans, toast. They have coffee and tea available, which doesn't happen much in Costa Rica. We were able to walk from here to see the sights of San Jose or it's a short Uber ride. Good restaurants within walking distance - enjoyed https://sabordecalle.com/ Kevin - the night desk clerk was awesome.
Our room was clean, but some of the common areas needed cleaning and it did happen while were there. Some towels were good; others were synthetic material that were difficult to use to dry your body.

Did not have breakfast
Was in a nice area close to city with good food services near
Basic accommodation. Had booked an extra night through booking.com for first night arrival before joking group tour. Despite two earlier confirmation emails there was no room available on arrival. TBF to staff and luckily another group leader volunteered his room and staff made up the room at short notice. No explanation of why the room wasn’t available but grateful for the availabilty

The location was good for me. It was near shopping and places to eat. It had an interesting layout and architecture.
Very squeaky floor. Other rooms seem to have tile and mine had slim slat wood floors. There was plumbing problems in the bathroom. The power went out twice, even though there was no extreme weather. My room was also on the very edge of the wifi range. I dont make use of hotel tv's but my room lacked one if that matters to others. It seemed like it was suppose to have one, because they left the mounting frame on the wall. There was just little details that showed upkeep in my room. As I passed other rooms that had open doors, they seem to have a better setup. If you get a room here asked to NOT be put into room 7.
