The hotel looks like it's been recently renovated, and it looks quite upscale inside. I had a room that looked like a suite, very large, with two sections. It was clean and comfortable. Positives about location: it is a two minute walk from Gara de Nord, and 15-20 minutes walk from downtown.
The entrance is through a noisy restaurant. The location is not that great, that neighborhood is pretty seedy.

I liked everything about the property. The location was great. It was clean. Excellent staff. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
If I had to choose anything that I didn’t like about the property, I would have to say the fact that it did not have an in-house restaurant that was open for breakfast. But that was not anything major because there are lots of places nearby to get breakfast in time for an early morning tours.

Close to the station, that was why we chose it. And relatively inexpensive.
However, the room decor was bland, reception staff were reasonably polite but cold and unwelcoming. Nothing ‘wrong’ but definitely nothing ‘right’ about this hotel, nothing that accounts for its suspicious 9.1 review score. We wouldn’t choose it again.
