About this house rental
Situated in North Topsail Beach, this charming house for $245 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Right-side, 2nd Row duplex with fabulous views from all 4 decks.Beach access about 200 ft away. 1646 Square feet, 3 bedrooms plus a sun room that can be used as a bedroom, and 3 full bathrooms. Sleeps up to 11. The house has a reverse floor plan. The top floor has tons of windows with great views from the front and rear decks. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, large dining area that seats at least 10, a living room, a sun room and a full bath with a shower on this level as well. The living area has a 50" 4K UHD Smart Roku TV with Cable, DVD and WII system with games. There are also plenty of board games, card games, puzzles and books available for your entertainment as well. Wireless Internet access is also provided. Downstairs the Master Suite has a King size bed, a private bath with Jacuzzi tub and shower, private deck, and 32" Samsung smart TV with cable. The 2nd bedroom has a Twin over Full Bunk Bed and deck with ocean and sound views. The 3rd bedroom has a Queen bed and deck with ocean and sound views. A full bathroom and laundry room with washer/dryer are also on this floor. Other perks include Dual-Zone AC, ceiling fans throughout, an outside enclosed shower with hot and cold water, a wheeled beach cart, and an outside locking storage area with sand toys, beach games, umbrellas and chairs for guest's use. There's also a card table and folding chairs for extra seating. Beds; King, Queen, Twin over Full bunk, Queen Sofa Sleeper in living room, twin daybed with twin roll out trundle in the sun room. FLEXIBLE BOOKING AVAILABLE! MINIMUM 4 NIGHTS OFF- AND MID-SEASON WEEKLY(7 NIGHTS) PEAK SEASON PEAK season for 2024 will run from Saturday June 1st to Saturday August 17th with check-in and check-out on Saturdays. LINENS You can bring your own linens or linens can be provided at an additional cost. Linens for all the beds and bathrooms would be an additional $159 per week. Please inquire about pricing for less than whole house linens. Blankets, bedspreads and pillows are provided.

Clean, comfortable and excellently equipped. We felt instantly at home here. The closet is stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas and even toys for the beach! Mark was a pleasure to deal with and we were sad to leave!

A Mermaid’s Dream is hands down the best beach house we’ve ever stayed at! The house is incredibly well stocked with everything you could possibly need from beach towels to extra blankets and pillows to a very nice beach cart and plenty of beach chairs and toys. The layout of the house was great with all the bedrooms on the second floor and the living spaces and kitchen on the top floor with beautiful views of both the ocean and the sound from the balconies. The location is also perfect with a very short walk to the beach which was never over crowded! We even got to see a sea turtle nest hatch during our stay which was amazing! An added bonus is the house is within the Sneads Ferry Foodlion’s delivery radius so we were able to have our groceries delivered to the house the day we arrived to make life easier! We would absolutely recommend staying here if you have the option, you won’t regret it!

Very Family friendly
This place was a dream- all the beds were comfortable, there were labels everywhere to help you easily find which light or cupboard to use, a very well stocked kitchen, beautiful views from every porch, a closet full of all the beach chairs and toys you could want- including a wonderful cart to pull them all in, an outdoor shower to help with sandy bodies at the end of the day, the beach is just across the street and down a bit- an easy walk even with 6 small kids in tow. Our family had a fabulous time here!
The owner was very accessible and available for any issues- and check in and check out was a breeze.

What a home - hear the ocean, see the bay, great kitchen and decks
First of all, Mark made this rental super-easy with clear, fast communication, and simple check-in and departure directions. The Mermaid has everything to make a family comfortable, including the 3 full baths. Kitchen was clean and beautifully organized, and the appliances were high quality. The sturdy dining table gave a Waltons-like feel at mealtime (YouTube it).
All the bedrooms worked for us; laundry was great; we brought our own linens and towels. As you'll be aware from the description, with kitchen and living on top floor, these designs give you a bit of a climb with your foodstuffs on move-in or shopping day. That's why you bring some young people. Come sunset, we regularly found ourselves on the kitchen deck enjoying the view.
Beach is just a short 3 min walk across the street; never crowded our week. We plan to return, thanks Mark.

This is a beautiful home located in an area that is not heavily traveled. The beach access is directly across the road. Bonus... baby turtles hatching right there. Three generations, everyone loved it.

Beautiful views of the ocean
The owner was so helpful, the condo was well appointed. Access to the beach was just a few minutes walk. Beds we're all comfortable. We stayed two weeks and it was very comfortable.

The house was perfect! The property owner was great with communication and the home had everything that was listed. The views from the home of the ocean and the sound were amazing. We spent many evenings relaxing on the balcony on the rocking chairs listening to the ocean.

The renter, Mark, was in constant contact with us. The property was amazing and its location was perfect...public access to the beach was across the road. The decor fit the ocean/mermaid theme. Porches off of every bedroom. AC was in excellent working order. Good first experience with VRBO and renting a beach house. Plan to do it again...maybe not next year but I believe when u find something good no need to look any further, so will rent the Mermaids Dream again in the future. Did I mention the price was also very fair.

Just what we needed!!
If I could give more than 5 stars, I totally would!! This beach house is perfect all around!! It is well stocked with everything you need to cook/grill at home. There are great board games available and a WII to keep the kids entertained. My 3 yo was super excited with all the beach toys! She even added to the seashell collection. Beach access is a short walk from the house and was never crowded. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My only complaint was that I had to leave LOL! We will definitely be back and hopefully get to stay longer!! Thank you Mark for being such a great host!!

Last minute Spring break trip
We can't say enough how much we enjoyed staying here. The property was just as described and access to beach right across the street. The house was wonderfully stocked and the owners provide a lot of extras, including beach stuff if needed. We have been coming to Topsail for years and will definitely return to this property.

The Mermaids Dream is a beautiful beach house with all the amenities. A fully stocked kitchen was so helpful with making dinners and baking. The decor is whimsical and beachy, loved it!! The beds were very comfortable. The family living space was open and perfect with beach views out of every window! This home is well maintained and so clean. We would highly recommend staying at The Mermaids Dream!

Great military friendly beach house
Our Marine son is stationed nearby. He is on limited travel due to Covid. Too many cancelled trips for him this year, so we decided to come to him!
House is in a great beach location. Easy walk, and everything you need for beach is provided.

Clean, comfortable and functional rental
First time actually staying in a rental & was very pleased with the experience. The rental has everything that u could possibly need, great views and is a very short walk to the beach. We played family board games (from the closet) for the 1st time in a long time! And the best outdoor shower experience I've ever had :) We had a great time.

We really enjoyed being able to see the ocean and the sound side from the balconies. We were able to see some beautiful sunsets. Quick walk to the beach thanks to the cart provided in the storage room. Comfortable space and accommodating for everyone. Would visit again!

Our Family Vacation 2020
Due to pandemic restrictions we needed to get out of our house and get a change of scenery! We have two 15 year old boys, 13 year old boy and 10 year old girl, they found the wii on the first night and were so excited to rekindle their love for those games together, this was a great activity for several mornings when we had some rain. We played lots of games, cooked in daily- kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the beach A LOT. We weathered tropical storm Isaias, had two power outages but loads of fun. We learned to find shark’s teeth and made friends on the beach. The walk over was a breeze, the storage had lot of extras including a great umbrella! Owner was wonderful with communication, which was helpful for the 24 hours of the storm. Wonderful experience! Thank you for sharing your home!
