Great hotel to stay while visiting Tikal

Excellent rooms and one of the room has a view of the lake. Extra space outside the room was great. A short walk to the lake to swim.

The internet was not great. It keep dropping off until you cannot do any anything.

Very wonderful hotel with great price

This family-run hotel is a great choice. The host is so friendly and speaks very good English. Check in is very fast and easy. The room is very clean and air-conditioning is very powerful. We parked the car in the courtyard inside the hotel with gates, very safe. It is a wonderful stay after visiting Tikal. We booked very early so we had a great price. The host honored the price, unlike some other hotels on this trip, asking us to pay more.

La chambre était impeccable et les lits super confortables. Air climatisé fonctionnelle. Excellent nettoyage de la chambre tous les jours. Emplacement idéal, prêt de tout! Cuisine collective bien équipée. Personnel super gentil.

Difficile d'avoir de l'eau chaude dans la douche (3 fois sur 20), mais ça fait partie de l'aventure !

Spacious room with a hammock, good AC, and some views of the lake. Nor far from the lake, where you can take a refreshing dip. Small communal kitchen provided. Friendly owner, helpful, but not to pushy in selling tours!

Pleasant

Extremely good pricing, parking in front of the room, helpful owner. El Remate is in a great location to visit both Flores and Tikal.

The bathroom was old and not comfortable.

I would stay here again

We were very satisfied with this little hotel. Perfect location for exploring maya ruins and a nice morning hike in the close Biotopo. Staff is very nice and helpfull, rooms clean and comfortable. Common kitchen and the access to the lake are just other pluses!

perfect base for visiting Tikal

super helping staff (Humberto is great) helping us to organize tours and giving helpful advice, great location with restaurants and shops just across the street

they have a small and slow-filtering bottle of filtered water, so effectively there is no filtered water for the guests (or one glass if you are lucky). you have to buy in plastic bottles in a shop nearby

Great stay

Humberto the owner was great at setting up transportation to tours to local recommendations. Hotel is in the heart of El remate close to restaurants and stores. Rooms where clean with good air-conditioning which was much needed for the heat. I'm glad we stayed here than in Flores. I saw one of the best sunsets of my life at Doña marías restaurants while enjoying a beer. Don't hesitate to stay here.

This is a quiet, friendly accommodation. Close to the ruins of Tikal and a very pleasant lake shore.

The whole experience, right from the greeting to our departure was very positive. The owner and his family were very pleasant and most helpful. The room had a nice balcony area with a good view and comfortable hammock. Everything was spotlessly clean.

Location to the lake & restaurants Roberto & his staff are absolutely lovely & very helpful. The property was very clean. My room had a view overlooking the lake. everything was perfect

The host, Mr. Humbert was very incredible. He was very kind and went out of his way to give us additional information about how we could manage our tours and finish everything we had planned. He gave us recommendations about where to eat. And the place is on the main road where most restaurants and shops are located. The facilities were very comfortable and clean.
