Humberto was a great host. He helped usnfind a Tikal guide. He was always around to answer questions. The rooms were clean and modern. Thebbeds were comfortable and the linens were clean. Can't beat the location, right on the lake and a short distance from Tikal, Flores and the Belize border. We appreciated the free gated parking for our rental.
The AC's struggled to cool the rooms but we were on a 2nd story and it was in the 90's. The in room bathrooms had a damp.smell, which we solved by keeping the doors closed.

Extremely good pricing, parking in front of the room, helpful owner. El Remate is in a great location to visit both Flores and Tikal.
The bathroom was old and not comfortable.
