I loved everything about this place, the location was incredible. Feels like you're in the jungle but also you're right by the lake. We swam twice a day off the private jetty. The staff were humble and sweet, and attentive. The room was big, and had a nice shower.
Some more vegan options on the menu would have been good. But food was great!

Just amazing. The vibe, you feel just at home as soon as you arrive, santiago the owner is incredible, friendly, welcoming and full of good advice( he used to work for the Guatemalan agency representing the mayan culture etc,...) . Wish I could have stayed longer! Already recommended to my friends travelling to guatemal.
Also really easy to get to tikal from there!

Hotel is located right in front of the lake. They offer a good amount of activities at a very reasonable price. The hotel is located in a very green hill of the zone allowing to see a variety of fauna right at its doorstep. Staff were very nice and cordial. Free water through the use of ecofiltros were also a bonus.
The food leaves a lot to be desired when compared to the price. The trash in the bathroom was not emptied, so the previous guest's used papers were still in the room when we arrived. Towels smelled of mildew. Wifi can be jittery at times.
Be advised: if you are given a lower bungalow and there are guests staying above you, you will be able to hear everything. Soundproofing is non existent.
