Comfortable and convenient accommodation, very close to airport

A very friendly and considerate hostess who spoke good English. Quite a lot of space for a single person: 2 rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom. A hammock :) General feeling of security in the accommodation. Cleanliness everywhere. A late check-out was possible.

It was not so easy to find the right building, I had to ask the neighbors; some sign outside might help. The Internet was missing for a part of the evening. Next morning, electricity has been switched off at 7:55 and did not re-appear before 12:00 when I left, however, this was not an accommodation's fault but some major problem on a city level.

As good as you can get for a comfortable layover.

Superb location for the airport - I was able to walk to and fro with all my luggage in tow quite easily. Large, comfortable room with fridge, ice cold air conditioning and Netflix. Good breakfast with use of kitchen facilities for tea and coffee.

The location does not have much else to offer other than proximity to the airport, but this is no fault of the hotel and I suspect that none of the area around the airport has much to offer a tourist.

Perfect little place in Guayaquil, excellent value for money.

Perfect for what we needed in Guayaquil - as a quick stopover pre the Galapagos. Near the airport (10 minute walk). Comfortable and large bed. Clean. Felt safe and secure. Excellent staff - Ellie was really nice and welcoming, wanted to help. She even stored our large bags for a whole week for us so we didn’t need to take them to the Galapagos or pay for storage.

Cannot imagine a better stay close to Guayaquil airport - clean, comfortable, safe and fairly priced

We have nothing but praise for Casa Canelos: the room was huge and super clean, the bed extremely comfy, the host super friendly and welcoming and the location perfect for our short stay before an early flight out of Guayaquil (NB: reading other reviews some make comments about the location, maybe you want to have a look at the map first :-)). Also big thanks to Eli for organising our local transport downtown and later to the airport, and the flexibility to checkout really early at 3 AM as we had to check in for the flight. Our only regret that because of the early checkout we couldn’t enjoy the breakfast, which would certainly have been wonderful too! Thank you for your hospitality!

I highly recommend staying here to anyone who needs to stay close to the airport or main bus station

The room was large. The AC worked great. The shower had both good pressure and plenty of hot water. I enjoyed the free breakfast.

At Casa Canelos you will feel in very good hands!

Everything was just perfect! The host is a super nice and kind person, the service and the accommodation are simply great. The area is quiet and nice,it’s very safe place to stay over in Guayaquil. There is the chance to get a laundry for a small extra fee, we got everything washed and dried in an afternoon. Highlights of our stay: the bed (the best I’ve ever slept in!) and the breakfast!! I can’t recommend this place enough and I hope to get back one day.

I slept wonderfully

Casa Canelos fully deserves 10 out of 10 points. I had my best nights sleep in a long time, really excellent. The host is wonderful and very very supportive. Great location, quiet, very close to the airport. Great value for what I paid. I would definitely come again.

I put in Casa Canelos on google maps, and it directed me to a house on the corner of a park. However, Casa Canelos really is two houses further down the street, right in the middle of the street facing the park.

Near to airport

Location was super convenient, near to the airport. Easy to walk there. Spacious room and big bed. Staff is welcoming helpful and friendly.

A warm welcome and very comfortable stay convenient for airport and bus station.

Casa Canelos was a lovely refuge straight from a long night bus from Peru. We were able to check in early and offered an additional breakfast. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed huge and comfortable. The very friendly and helpful host family, who live downstairs, made us very welcome. Walkable from the bus station and airport but it's not a pleasant walk (along a really busy wide main road) - 10 mins in a Uber cheap and recommended instead. The house is located in a quiet square away from the traffic.

Great location for bus station, airport

Walking distance to/from the bus station and airport. Big bed. Quiet at night. Adequate breakfast provided. Netflix, including English movies. Big room. Location seemed reasonably safe (for Guayaquil).

A bit hard to find - there’s an electronic sign in a window, but we didn’t see it from the road. Air conditioner hard to turn on/off.

great stay at casa canelos

it is situated close to the airport which is convenient if you have an early flight the next day. breakfast is included and good there is everything you need in the flat internet was good the owner is very nice, she even brought me to the airport the next day due to floods and lack of taxi

Standard room at a decent price. Helpful owner, good A/C

Close to airport, good A/C, nice owner, in front of a park with people playing in the evening (seemed safe). Included breakfast. Owner helped us to book a taxi the next day and recommended the cheapest agency to book a tour in the Galapagos.

It's nothing fancy but if you are looking for a standard room at a good price, its a good place for that. Don't pay more than $5 for a taxi from the airport, we got hustled by the taxi. It"s really close.

Superb

A nice welcome in Guayaquil. Great location if you come from the airport or the bus terminal. Clean and tidy. Delicious breakfast.

The windows won't block any noise from outside. Luckily there is not that much traffic.

Great hotel near airport

Elly was a great host and welcomed me with a huge smile. I was only there for the night, but it was very comfortable. The room was well thought out and clean. Really close to the airport Elly organised a taxi to the airport and asked me to message her to check I'd got there ok
