A fully renovated 4 bedroom house centrally located in beautiful Soldiers Hill. Sleeps up to 9 people comfortably with an abundance of character and comforts located within a easy 5 minute walk to restaurants, Ballarat's historic CBD and transport. A 5 minute walk to the Ballarat Railway station and a lovely stroll into town for a spot of shopping, visit to the art gallery, a bite to eat or a show at the historic Her Majesties Theatre. Located in beautiful Soldiers Hill and in walking distance to all the great local restaurants and pubs. Soldiers Hill is well renowned for its historic architecture, lovely tree lined streets and proximity to Ballarat CBD Its not easy to find such a beautiful and welcoming home so close to town that can sleep 9 people comfortably. Whether you are after a weekend away with your family or with friends our place will be able to cater to your needs.

The property is starting to show its age but is still fully functional.
Whilst it has a sleeping capacity of nine, there is only one bathroom and dining capacity for six.
It is quite close to a busy rail line which may be a problem for light sleepers.

Plenty of Room and Beds. Location to town was great but the trains at night were very interruptive being so close to the train line.

Well presented and versatile rooms. Only one bathroom which was ok for us but could be awkward for larger groups. Would certainly like to visit again.

A fabulous stay....
Great location, suited all our needs with beds for all nine of us. There is an oven which wasn’t listed so can do all your own cooking. Great communication with the owner. The only down-side was that it’s opposite the train line.

Great property for larger groups of people, however keep in mind the 1 bathroom and toilet located in there. Limited parking and be mindful very to train line. Also, the 3rd bedroom is off kitchen area and has a loft bed.

The loft bed was fun and it was great to have so many tv’s!!! A really lovely home with everything you could need. My mum loved the coffee machine. The only thing that could have been better was if the water was hotter. I recommend for anyone to stay there.

Great house with beds for everyone. Nice and close to town centre. Beds were warm and comfortable. The house warmed up quickly with all the heaters around the house. It is close to the railway crossing so if your a light sleeper you will be up early but everything else more then made up for it. Great place to stay

This property was a lovely place to stay. We had 4 adults and 2 kids, 1 toddler and 1 baby and was a great size to cater for all. It can be a bit noisy due to the trains but overall it was a nice place to stay. Was clean however bins were full meaning we couldn't put all our rubbish in, there was a bit of dog poo in back yard which the toddler wanted to play with BUT they are only faults.I do recommend this place.

We had a great weekend away at Abode.
Our weekend Away at Ballarat and our stay at this house was very relaxing, the house had everything we needed. It was lovely to arrive at the house on a cold evening, the heater and lamp was on, such a welcoming gesture. The house has everything you need also very family friendly. Comfortable beds, lovely linen and a wonderful kitchen.
The only downside was that it was right near the train line and you can hear the trains. However an overall fantastic stay. Thank you

So happy! Was amazing
So glad i picked this to stay in for the weekend. There was 9 of us and it was perfect for all of us. Perect amount of beds for us couple's and singles. House was sooooo nice and tidy in the inside and out. Very homely. Plenty of towels to accomodate for everyone. Provided tea and coffee. Was super close to the main street but far enough away not to here heaps of noise...... except the trains haha.

Excellent Presentation
My family and I recently enjoyed our stay in this beautifully presented, tastefully renovated Shaker style home with elements of old and new. It was warm and inviting with modern facilities, a fully equipped central kitchen with bedrooms either end of the cottage, creating some privacy and excellent for a large family. Quality linen and bedding was provided. There is a supermarket nearby and minutes to Ballarat central. A lovely Abode!

Cosy comforts
We throughly enjoyed our weekend here. It slept 9 (4 adults & 5 kids) with ease. Having a TV/DVD in each room was also a great advantage with many kids. So cosy and comfortable, beds were beautiful to sleep in and the kitchen had loads of storage to accomodate. Will definately return!
