The hotel is located in a great neighborhood. It is safe, central, and within walking distance of many restaurants and supermarkets. The area is easy to explore on foot, which made getting around very convenient. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is delicious.
The area is quite noisy, which made it difficult to relax. The hotel rooms do not have air conditioning, and the room was extremely hot, making it very difficult to sleep. This was partly my mistake because I didn't notice that the hotel didn't have AC when I booked it—I simply assumed it did.
Another issue was that the hotel had no hot water for three days. The staff apologized, but it was still very unpleasant to take cold showers during our stay.
I also had a problem with the payment. When the hotel charged my credit card, they billed me in U.S. dollars instead of Colombian pesos. As a result, I ended up paying about $18 more than the advertised price. I spoke with the manager, and he later compensated me by giving me a discount on an additional night that I stayed. I appreciated that gesture, but I believe foreign travelers should be aware of this billing practice and confirm the currency before paying.
Overall, the staff was polite and tried to resolve the issues, but the lack of air conditioning, the absence of hot water for several days, and the unexpected currency conversion significantly affected my experience.
