We had a great stay at Hostel Niniroom! Great, friendly staff, rooms were wonderful, beds comfy, but in the most ideal location - a short walk from some great restaurants/cafes, and maybe 20/25 mins from the Gion area and Potoncho Street.
Price was a little expensive but we can account that for it being Japanese Silver Week.

Air conditioning in rooms always reverts to 25*C, even if you try to adjust the thermostat. Gets hot when you close the curtains in bed
