It was within walking distance from the Plaza de Ponchos, the Mercado 24 de Mayo, the Terminal Terrestre and a few more touristy places. When we had a lot of luggage, a $1 taxi ride took us to the Terminal Terrestre. The facilities are basic but clean, and Alex, who booked us in and was mostly on duty while we were there, was super friendly and helpful. We also appreciated that the shower had decently strong hot water. It is ideally located to serve as a base for exploring surrounding towns like Ibarra, Cotacachi etc.
We found the mattress and pillows to be a bit hard. We bought some cheap pillows at Tia, which helped us sleep more comfortably.
