About this house rental
Nestled in Eau Claire, this attractive house for $264 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Enjoy this cabin-like A-Frame in the city! Although located near many businesses and conveniences, this property sits on 1.5 wooded acres in a private setting, you won't feel like you're in town! (Before we go on, you are strongly encouraged to buy Travel Insurance, as you never know what can come up. This is direct from the VRBO website: Visit www.vacationprotection.com to buy a travel insurance plan. All of our plans include 24/7 Travel Support while traveling.) Amenities for guests include a hot tub (for an extra fee), fire pit with an abundance of wood for burning, Keurig with K cups, 5 TVs most with DVD and Blu Ray players (with Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc)and tons of DVD movies to choose from, as well as a digital antenna (on 3 TVs) that gets many channels including all the major networks, dishes, towels, bedding and much more. Upper level offers 2 sleeping areas, one queen sized bed and one king size bed (this room is an open "loft" style room), flat screen TVs with Blu Ray and small decks/balconies. Main level has bedroom with queen size bed, flat screen TV and sliding glass door to back deck. Main level also has an open concept dining/kitchen and living area with flat screen TV, CD player, Blu Ray, stereo, even an old-school record player, and games. Just off the living room is a sun room with hot tub (If you don't intend to use the hot tub let me know and I'll refund the $100 fee for it) with lots of towels, pub table for four, and a side deck for relaxing. The kitchen has oven, range, microwave, Keurig with a sampler of coffees, pots, pans, dishes, glasses, silverware, coffee pot, full size refrigerator and table that seats six. Lowest entry level includes den with flat screen TV with Blu Ray player, tons of DVDs, two love seats, futon that expands to a full size bed that can sleep two guests, and a desk. Lowest entry also has an entertainment room with a pub feel, table and five chairs. The outdoor space has a deck off of the kitchen and main level bedroom that has two chairs and small table, outdoor lighting and stairs that lead to back yard area with gas grill, picnic table, some Adirondack chairs, 2 benches, a picnic table, two small end tables and a chair swing. Relax around a campfire ring with plenty of firewood that is provided for guests. Within a short distance of the property you will find gas stations, laundromat, grocery store, restaurants, bars, parks, mall and almost anything else you would possibly need nearby. Property is located 10 minutes from downtown and across the street from Mayo Dialysis Center and Concordia Lutheran Church (plus there are many other churches in town). Also, Eau Claire is know for it's extensive bike trail system. Per the City of Eau Claire website: "City Bike Trails: Biking is an efficient and convenient mode of transportation that provides a high degree of independence and flexibility. The City of Eau Claire has 28.94 miles of recreational trails, and 4 miles of mountain biking trails (located at Pinehurst Park). The trail is 10 feet wide and surfaced with asphalt pavement. All of the bridges are decked and railed for riding safety. These year round trails are used by bicycle commuters, recreational bikers, skaters & more." At Short Street, the Eau Claire City Trail connects with the Chippewa River State Trail. Passes are required after this point. https://www.eauclairewi.gov/recreation/trails. Note: the stairs to the upper level bedrooms are steep! Also, for everyone's protection, exterior-only video monitoring is in place (camera by the entry door, back deck, and woods south of the sunroom). Included in the base price are 4 people, then there's a $50 for per guest/per trip after that. 4th sleeping option is the futon in the lower level, plus an air mattress. NOTE: Violation of the No Pet policy will result in complete loss of your security deposit.

as bad as the weather was this air b and b was totally worth it . Host was incredibly responsive and tentative to us ladies, we felt safe and hand the best time. Great weekend getaway very relaxing and close to the city if we needed anything, but we stayed and never felt the need to leave! Absolutely Fabulous! Thank you!!

Paul is a great and responsive host. The location feels quiet like a cabin but is very walkable to multiple restaurants, bars, and other places. It's perfect for a weekend getaway without the hassle of having to pack tons of food and stuff up front.

We loved the cabin/chalet atmosphere of the house. Very clean and well kept. We saw some deer in the back yard a few times. Enjoyed the hot tub almost every night. Great kitchen to cook and entertain for our Thanksgiving dinner. Will definitely be back!

We found a beautiful cabin located in town but feels like you're in the deep woods. It was exactly as described in the listing. The owner provided everything we could possibly require and more! Great communication and really helped us out when we forgot an item. Kids loved all the space and whirlpool was clean and fun! Comfortable beds and TV's were great!
Highly recommend and we plan to stay again some day.

The beatuful A- frame cabin is nestled on a large wooded lot in the the city. The front yard is beautifully landscaped. The back yard has a fire pit, picnic table and plenty of seating for a large group.The cabin has a beautiful wooden interior. There is aglass room right off the main living room which houses the hot tub. There are TV's in every bedroom and both living rooms. There is a cozy fireplace on the lower level. The is a perfect get a way location located within a short drive of many activities.

Great property! My family and I came to for UWEC Homecoming to see our son. He is in the BMB and we had a lot of fun attending the game to see him perform. This property is so homey and comfortable with lots of amenities. The hot tub was a nice way for us to relax after a long day. My aging mother had some challenges with the stairs but she managed. We will definitely be back.

It was very relaxing to get up in the morning and sit with a cup of coffee on one of the many porches and watch the wildlife before starting the busy day sightseeing in the Eau Claire area. Then top off the evening with some time in the Hot Tub before starting all over again the next day. Great Stay - highly recommended

We had six adults at the cabin to spend time with family and run races during marathon weekend. The cabin was very comfortable for our group. It is in a private setting while being within 10 minutes of downtown and many other shops and restaurants close by (check out The Coffee Grounds). The cabin is clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Paul communicates very well and was great to work with through changes we made to the reservation. We will stay here when we come back to Eau Claire.

Spent the weekend here with my family for Easter! What a great cabin with a very comfortable feel! We really enjoyed sitting in the back by the bonfire! A great wilderness feel with being close to restaurants and store! Great communication with Paul as well! Will definitely be back! Thank you! 😊

The cabin worked pretty well for the 6 of us (3 couples). We appreciated the different living spaces and made use of all of them. The sunroom with hot tub was a great coffee spot. The house was clean and description was accurate. We knew the stairs were narrow and steep and we’re prepared for that…definitely a challenge for those with mobility issues. Would love to see the place in warmer weather to make use of the outside living space!

Up from Florida for a family reunion and couldn't have asked for a better location. Right in town but you wouldn't have known it. The house is quirky and homey and we felt comfortable just being ourselves. Spent our last day hosting drop in family around the fire pit. Absolutely perfect!

Felt like a log cabin! Owner Paul was great at responding and even left us a nice arrival basket with treats and two bottles of wine. Extra toiletries in bathrooms just in case as well. Stocked with towels and essentials. Beds were quite comfortable and they had extra air mattress if needed. AC worked great and after a long day we really enjoyed the spa. Yard had a great fire pit with plenty of wood. Very happy with the cleanliness of the home. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thanks!!

We picked this property based on the beautiful pictures that don’t begin to capture the setting. Our host Paul did everything right. The little details were amazing including the abundance of coffee options, little toiletries, instructions were appropriate and even an opportunity to feed the fish. Oh wait I forgot to mention, cornhole outdoor furniture and the books and movie selection! I want to come back sometime grab a book and enjoy a good read! The sunset view was stunning! I will definitely check this out for my next trip back. Thank you Paul for an amazing experience!

Had a wonderful time at the cabin! We were up there for Rockfest and it was the perfect spot to relax in the mornings and nights after the festival. The cabin had such a warm and cozy feel to it. It was very relaxing. We also enjoyed the hot tub, firepit, and hammock! The trees really make you feel like you're in the country. Loved our experience there!

Like other reviewers, we enjoyed watching the surrounding nature on the property, watching movies and playing games from the huge selection, and relaxing in the hot tub - while also being close to everything the city of Eau Claire has to offer. This property is clean, well kept, and Paul does an excellent job with the little touches like putting the lights on before we arrived, toiletry baskets in the bathroom, and a nice welcome basket. As mentioned in the description and other reviews, the stairs are steep and narrow, so if you have someone in your party who has a hard time navigating stairs, make sure they stay on the main level. Not a deal breaker for us though, we just put our agile teenagers on the 2nd level. Our only disappointment was that our stay ended too quickly - we would have loved more time to get a bonfire in, a game of bags, and maybe read one the books from the large selection....seriously, there are hundreds! We felt very much at home and would recommend this property.

Cozy home in a perfect location!
Our family of four adults enjoyed our long weekend here! This cozy home is in a great location because it's close to everything but it feels like it's remote when you're there. We enjoyed playing games, reading, watching movies, being outside on the deck and in the hammock, and using the hot tub. Paul was an easy host to work with.
One note...only two of the bedrooms have doors. A third "bedroom" is really more like a large loft and the forth "bedroom" is the entry level den/entertainment room. It was fine for us, but something to be aware of with a larger group.
Overall, it was a good trip!

Cabin in the City
My girlfriends and I enjoyed our ladies weekend at this A-frame in the city.
While the house is located on a suburban-esk street, it feels pretty secluded. You can barely see the house next door through the trees.
The bugs were minimal because there was a constant breeze, so we were able to spend a lot of time outside enjoying the fire pit and eating at the picnic table.
The hot tub was the selling feature for us and it did not disappoint!
As the post indicates, the stairs are pretty steep. Pretty much all of the stairs inside and outside the property are not at a standard height - getting to the top floor is basically like climbing into a loft. So keep that in mind if you have issues with stairs.
We had a great time and would stay here again!

We came in town from multiple states to put a family member to rest. Great house with ample room. Great location close to every thing but you feel like you are in the country. We loved sitting out by the fireplace. We had a couple of deer visitors everyday as well as the single white squirrel. Lots of nature around. Great stay, great place, super host. Definitely would come back. Hot tub in the sun room was great.

Loved our stay! Spent a long weekend away with a group of girl friends. We enjoyed the close proximity of restaurants in Eau Claire, yet the property seems like you’re secluded in the woods up north. We also saw plenty of deer in the yard. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and the cool mornings with a cup of coffee on the porch. Just a note, the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms are quite steep and narrow. Would definitely recommend staying with Paul! He made booking our stay a breeze and ensured we had everything that we needed. A great trip all around!

Wonderful stay. A truly hidden gem in Eau Claire. Hot tube, lazy boy chairs and cabin feel were perfect for a relaxing rainy weekend. Paul was an excellent host with great communication. Would definitely stay here again.
