It certainly felt quite intimate and cosy in the bedroom as although it's small, it's all I needed as it was just me, plus the kettle and coffee. I'd say the same thing for the lounge as the sofa was comfortable and although the fire wasn't on, it would certainly be useful during cold periods. The tea and coffee provided was reasonable as well along with the fridge to put stuff in. I was surprised to find a charging station in the lounge as well which saved me buying an adaptor. The cost of 3 Euros per hour to use it I'd say was fair and there was stuff to read including the I Amsterdam magazine and cards, leaflets and maps of things to do in Amsterdam including some discounts.
I know the hotel isn't meant to be anything fancy, but there could've been some light snacks available such as yoghurts, fruit and crisps as none of that was provided, it was just the tea and coffee in the lounge and no tea in the bedroom

The accommodation served our purpose. The price and location were reasonable.
It was not well explained how we would be able to enter the building and access our designated room. We had emailed the owner several times and the only response had been that the reservation was confirmed. This was distressing because on another booking we were told that our reservation was confirmed but Booking.com had been hacked and the confirmation had been a scam. We were supposed to receive a key code 24 hours in advance of the check-in time, but it was only sent about 5 hours in advance, by which time we were already on the plane to Amsterdam.

The 47 steep steps up the narrow staircase to the room. Poor quality towels.

"Hidden pearl, if you sleep light (but thats all over Amsterdam take some ear plugs) but this hotel should be rated muvh much higher i loved it and stayed in many many different hotels this year in Ams..."
