This is a lovely bijou hotel in a heritage building on a quiet street alongside a canal in central Amsterdam. We were in the Honeymoon Room, which is a single large room with a balcony overlooking the canal on which we sat to enjoy coffee each morning and wine in the evenings. The apartment was clean, comfortable and elegantly furnished; the shower was awesome. Coffee & coffeemaker were provided.
As a heritage building, this hotel does not have an elevator and the stairs are steep, but this is part of the charm of heritage hotels, not a negative.

the window was perfect to watch a storm roll in or enjoy the window open! the nespresso and tea kettle were a nice touch. learning more about the amstel building and its owners from fokko's book was a great touch.
so many steep steps up to the third floor! but we made it and i still enjoyed myself. i would have also enjoyed breakfast, but that is okay.

The property is beautiful. The rooms decorated nicely and the balcony is fantastic!
It’s a tiny bit out of the centre but still a good location. My girlfriend wasn’t a fan of the stairs but I didn’t mind them.
