The location is truly amazing. Views from the apartment - Faial across the bay, Montanha do Pico, a bit of Sao Jorge - just great. And the pool seemed to be heated, which is not so common.
Loved the salt ceder (or its African relative) alleys in the hotel plot and neighbouring streets.

The location was so perfect! A walk away from multiple restaurants, the ferry terminal, and the downtown area. The sunsets were so beautiful overlooking the water.
There was an odd smell in the bathroom around the toilet. Maybe it was the sewage because I know the ladies cleaned everyday. I tried to clean myself as well but it lingered. There was also a big ripped looking paint patch in the room on the wall. It didnt bother or affect anything we did there but it was aesthetically distracting.

Good location
Beware! Felt like this was a bait and switch! All pictures of the rooms showed sweeping views of the ocean and floor to ceiling windows. When we arrived, we were given a first floor apartment with no view at all! Apartments were cheaply appointed, doors were broken, the shower had zero water pressure. No one was ever at the desk, breakfast was awful, house cleaning was incomplete. Would not recommend! At the desk they have a plaque showing a booking.com rating of 9+ from 2018…. Hmmm makes me think the property must be under new management? Would never recommend this property to anyone.
