all over Hotel Alsterblick is centrally and directly at the Alster located at the same time. It‘s in a typical Hamburg vila style building, with this unique Charme, but modernized. I got an upgrade from Standard to premium room, it’s was super spacious and comfortable! There is even a nice filled minibar (extra) in the room, a Welcome free water and a tea/coffee maker. the breakfast room has direct view towards the Alster and the breakfast offers a wud e and healthy range of everything- incl soy milk, veggie options, etc.

Actually there are some maintenance works on the site, and they are ongoing, so you live simply inside the construction site. The breakfast is good but selection is not really wide.

At first we were sent to the room located at the basement - no lift available, steep stairs, mold smell and even urine smell when we opened the window as it faced the wall and a tiny backyard. There was no kettle in the room. Plus some issues with closing the safe, needed help to reset the setup. Wi-fi was quite slow. Staff was not helpful at all, untill the senior manager came up and solved the problem, so next day we moved to another room on higher floor, just what we expected to have while choosing this hotel.

Great hotel in a historical building just by the lake. Very nice and peaceful location. Room was of a great size and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was pretty nice.

Beautiful building and rooms, furniture and great staff as well as a lovely breakfast. It is but a short bus trip away from the centre and beautifully located. We had a lovely stay, thank you.

This one is really just my personal taste but I would’ve loved to have a room as pictured without a full floor rug. The room was still amazing but wooden floors would’ve been the icing on the cake. :)

Great breakfast, excellent location and helpful staff. The breakfast has a variety of fruits, bread and ham/cheese. I had an early morning flight and the staff was kind enough to prepare me an airport goodie bag. Thanks!

The room with lake view window has street noise. If you prefer something calmer take the garden room.

Directly on busy road. Too loud to open windows at night. No air con for compensation. No fan.

The overall design of the room was very beautiful. The area was right next to the water so there was no problem with location.

There was no Air Conditioning which is pretty common in Europe. But that is really all I can say for what I didn't like.
