Beautiful traditional architecture with a lot of charm. The hotel is very green and surrounded by lush gardens, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The spa area was perfect to unwind, the restaurant was excellent, and the staff were truly wonderful — warm and professional

The room was very good, in fact it was a small apartment with a living and kitchen. It had all necessities. The morning and evening buffets were good. The pool was huge though with a salty water. The garden was beautifully arranged and big enough for a short walk with available places to sit outside. There was also a sauna on demand (extra charge) that i enjoyed very much. For cat lovers there was a small bonus - several friendly cats.
The parking needs to be pre-booked and it is pretty small. There are not many parking places around. I had a problem to find main reception as there are no indications from the main street on the was. There was no elevator in our building so we needed to carry luggage to the 2nd floor.

The room was nice and spacious, divided between a living area, sleeping area and bathroom.
The shower was great - amazing pressure and temperature.
The hotel is conveniently located right next to a beach, which looked like it'd have been lovely (if I'd gone at a time with better weather). It's also on a hiking trail right up to Montaña De La Breña, where there's some amazing views (though parts of that trail pass along roads with no paths).
The outdoor parts of the hotel were very well sheltered from the high winds which hit the island whilst I was there, so I was able to swim in the hotel's outdoor pool, despite the nearby beach being shut to swimming.
The surrounding area was too touristy for my liking. I know many people like having everything catered towards holidaymakers, but personally I found it lacking in culture or history.
I didn't find the TV selection very inspiring. Newer hotels have started providing streaming services, like netflix. But here, it was old-fashioned satellite TV. The only English-language channels were news and I didn't really want to spend my holiday watch 24-hour rolling coverage of war.
