Our Junior Deluxe Suite with Sea View was very comfortable and only 100 meters from the beach and a short walking distance from all we needed. You can freely choose several buffet restaurants within a walking distance to eat your breakfast and lunch/dinner (in case your reservation is half-board or all inclusive). Considering that both me and my girlfriend had back and knee pain, our king-size bed was very comfortable and we did not have any issue with it. For dinner, every night the hotel has a different offer, i.e. one night you might get a Spanish buffet and another night a Mexican buffet.
The only issue was that we rented a car inside the hotel but the responsible person did not tell us that we have to pay tax on it in addition to the original price of car rent, It was surprising to see a 20 EUR charge on our car rent at the end of our stay.

Great resort, loads of options and something for everyone. It was good that residents had the freedom to move around to the different Barcelo facilities (pools, restaurants, etc)
Really good value for money.

location is great. close to airport and in a beautiful bay. food in buffet restaurant was very good and staff were excellent.
royal level booking was supposed to get special check in etc. we stayed in this hotel pre covid and had a fruit basket and cava in room but there were no extras this time. we had issues with the shower in our room. it could not be fixed. on second day of complaining we were offered an alternative room that had poor views and overlooked children’s play area. we turned this down. no further communication was made from any staff.

New arrangements of rooms, very good.
Barcelo change the shower heads, this is a disaster, it was terrible

Very good location. Hotel pool was protected from the wind. Pool is heated, so even when you get a cloudy day, you can still enjoy your swim.
Decent buffet for people with no allergies.
We were getting awful smell in the room, especially in the morning. It must be sewage issue in the area. It was only in the morning, so windows had to be opened.
We were a bit surprised, as most of the staff didn't have a great English. Therefore it was hard to figure out during dinners what dishes were gluten free. Few times I've ended up in a big discomfort after dinners. They have some labeling

Beautifully maintained, very clean and great facilities. The food at the Royal Level family restaurant was exceptional. All the staff were also exceptional.
our only disappointment was that the evening entertainment was extremely loud. It did finish at 10/10.30pm but the volume was unreasonable. pick your room at Royal Level carefully. the ones to the left of the pool are quieter. otherwise the floor cleaning machine will have you up at 7.30am!!

Our stay exceeded our expectations. The restaurant El Ancla was excellent. We tried other restaurants, but they were usual resort restaurants. El Ancla was Royal Level restaurant, and it showed in the food. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and our room had an excellent view. Rooms were cleaned daily, and housekeeping came by with chocolates every evening. Being Royal Level, we were able to visit all the pools. Our favorite was the heated pool at the Mar. It was slightly warmer than ours in Royal Family Club. Everywhere we went, we were treated well.
Unfortunately, bad weather caused a power failure during our stay. The hotel was without electricity for about 4 to 6 hours. We had to settle for one morning of cold breakfast.
7.0
Bed and room comfy
Family Royal Level no where near as nice as the Adult Royal Level
Limited drinks eg no Hendricks Gin. Pool bar very poor like a tuck shop (compared to Adult Royal Level)
Buffet good but too repetitive and not differentiated enough each day
Power cut for half a day and no communication
Pool too cold

When checking in, the receptionist was super amazing and helpful letting me know the best restaurants across the resort. I was also greeted with a nice beverage (choices between alcoholic and non-alcoholic).
Since it is quite a large resort, you can get chauffeured to your accommodation after checking in, free of charge, however, the receptionist walked me to my suite since it was local.
Was much appreciated and made the process and stay very smooth.
The TV did not have smart tv technology nor many channels for you to watch things on. My room had two TVs however I was mainly watching things on my iPad since I could not really do much on them. Obviously, during the day this is not an issue since you are on holiday you are out and about, but in the evening when you want to chill or go to bed, it is nice to have some sort of streaming service to log into.

The location next to the sea was ideal. I liked the style of the buildings, a bit more Spanish looking than the other hotels nearby. The facilities are extensive. There’s lots going on!
I’m not a fan of resort type accommodation. However I did choose to stay here my last night because of its convenient location near the airport

the place is very nice! im summer must be even nicer.
the stuff didn’t explain everything about how to manage inside the resort so some things we needed to guess how to do them but not big deal

Clean, comfortable, spacious outdoor area with hot tub and next to the marina. Good choice of restaurants across the 4 hotels. All the staff in our hotel and El Ancla restaurant were consistently friendly and helpful. Our 4th time at the Barcelo Royal.
The old jazz music at breakfast in El Ancla wasn’t to our liking.

Lovely, clean hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful
Some aspects of the rooms could have been in better condition eg sliding doors, curtains, under sink

A huge hotel complex but the Royal Level was small private and calm for 4 friends to relax and enjoy some holiday time together. The bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable with lots of added exrtras, a terrace area and an added bonus of a hot tub to relax in. All the staff spoke excellent english, were very engaging and helpful and most of all very smiley.
The all inclusive restaurant was small and offered a fantastic selection of fresh local delicious foods and the choice was copious. Would highly recommend the Royal level and we had a fantastic mini break.
As with so many things these days everything was done on an app once at the hotel which left us all a little bewildered with trying to find the soluton to various choices, perhaps a simple person to person explanantion as to what was and wasn't included/available during our stay would have really helped us to maxise our Royal level experience.
The bathroom arrangements were satisfactory but as is often the way in Spain the WC offered little privacy with a glass sliding door in the open plan room.

Loved the exercise classes.
I have stayed here before and there was a welcome basket however none this time (could be due to pandemic) however it was a lovely touch and disappointed it didn't stay. Only minor and everything else was fantastic

Spa facilities. Near the airport.
Although we received a booking confirmation from the Royal Level Family Club, this part of the resort was not opened at all. We got a room in the less special Fuerteventura Mar part of the resort for the same price. A very long walk to the reception of the resort.

I am gluten intolerant and can get very ill. But Laura checked in with me on day one regarding this. The staff always asked if I needed anything gluten free. Bread, muffins/ cakes etc. always lots of variety at mealtimes. The staff are exceptional. Jessica, laura and Eva in particular but all the staff did everything possible to make the stay the best. I was taken to my room in a golf buggy with my bags. Which was great as I was tired & it was late. The room was beautiful overlooking the pool and the sea. Everything is provided. Shaving gel & razors, shower caps. Vanity & sewing kit etc. free nibbles and water on arrival. The room was turn down in the evening & cleaned every day. On my last day the kept my bags & gave me a key to use the pool such I want to. Such kindness & thoughtfulness make the stay for me as well as the hotel itself. I needed a luxury break away after a tough few years and this went beyond my expectations. Book a trip here & you won't be disappointed
One morning of rain. But I don't think the hotel can fix this one 😊

No walk in shower, hard work getting into the bath.

Location and pool area and staff very nice
Suite was very cold as it got no sun in day time and heating didn't work. The food was very nice but unless you had what was being freshly cooked for you it was cold.

Where to start? We loved the location in the middle of the island which makes it easier to explore. Promenade, harbor and beautiful beach next to the hotel. Heated pool is a must in January and it was perfect. View from hotel room on the pool and sea. Small playground for children and mini golf. We have breakfast and dinner included and we just loved it (4day stay) and the staff was very friendly - Anna made our meal experience special. We recommend this hotel for couples as well as for families with children.
One thing that made me anxious before we came to Fuerteventura. I received a message that we need to present a COVID test (we have COVID pass). I wrote back and no one responded for couple of days... finally my friend called the hotel and we sort it out.

Brilliant location (at the harbour, with view to the mountains); excellent buffet restaurant with huge choice and high quality; extremely polite and friendly staff in both restaurant and reception! Always again!
Nothing.
