Comfortable bed so good sleep. Good shower pressure and lots of hot water.
It was ok, but I was disappointed on arrival, the room seemed dark and a bit gloomy, but otherwise clean.
When I returned later the sun was shining in and brightened the room which unfortunately showed all the dust, especially the thick layer on top of the drawers inside the wardrobe - it felt like the room had maybe not been used in quite a while and given it was not what I was expecting, I wondered if I had been put in a back room used when the hotel is full.
I appreciate it is an old building, but the room had a musty smell which did not dissipate over my 3-day stay. When I put the kettle away under the sink I saw what looked like black mould on the wall so maybe that caused the smell.
I can’t say I have ever stayed anywhere with the tv housed in the wardrobe, most of the channels didn’t work anyway. The only heating (an electric radiator) had a foot missing and was propped up on empty cardboard soap packets so a fire hazard. Wifi did not work well, it kept dropping out and/or lots of buffering. Personally, I felt this was over priced for what it was and with the lack of attention to detail.
