It is close to the beach, the light rail, the period features.
There was no lift. So carrying heavy suitcases can be an issue. The hotel rooms had overhead door closures on, so when guests were entering and leaving their rooms the door would slam close in the early hours on the night, which is quite loud, which can disturb other hotel guests.

The room and the hallways were clean and quiet. The location is pretty close to the UNSW campus with a Coles nearby. It's only 10-20 minutes walk away from most part of the campus.
The size of the room felt a bit small given the per night rate. The rooms are on the first floor which can be accessed only by two flights of stairs.
