Renaissance Shanghai Zhongshan Park Skyline Hotel

The Location is very bustling and happening. My father and I stayed in Renaissance twice and thrice before. This time as my mother joined us, we booked a large Twin Room with Two Single Beds and City View on 37th floor. The layout and design of the room was beautiful. The Breakfast was delicious

There is nothing to dislike here.

unfortunately except from the breakfast I have nothing positive to say.

The hotel is situated right in a shopping mall. the concierge is on the first floor and the reception is on the 25th floor. there is a lot going on as people from the shopping mall are passing constantly through the hall of the 1st floor of the hotel. moreover many time I wanted to ask something to the concierge I had to look for him and many times he just was not there. to get to you room you have to take the elevator to the 25 floor and than change elevator and get to you room. no nice hotel atmosphere comes up in this place. the western 2 channels during my stay did not work. the shower was old and i you could not switch from handshower to roof shower even idk I tried very hard. the knob was so rusty or full of limestone that it was impossible to switch it. it was also not possible to regulate or switch off the airconditionig. the temperature was set to 25 degrees and I could not sleep the night. on the last day I asked at 10.00 o'clock in the morning if I could still use the swimming pool for 1 hour a little bit later. the lady said that I had already checked out and said no. I told her that I have never met such a policy in any hotel around the world but she insisted and repeated her no. overall my first very bad impression in a hotel with my over 25 years in Shanghai.
