The property is strategically placed atop of one of the best coves of Menorca (climbing back is not as bad as it seems!) with a nice swimming pool and a snack bar (no, not a restaurant!) which also serves breakfast. Apartments are minimalistic, but clean, with a balcony. It was astonishingly quiet at night - thanks to the nice guests, because there is no sound insulation at all: have the bad luck to have neighbors who like to have a late night drink, and your night is bust! But, fortunately. all went well! Swimming pool is reasonably large to refresh and try a couple of strokes, but does not compare to the magnificent cove with calm waters, safe to swim as far as you please!
The huge problem was that... we got there during a heat wave, and they have NO air-conditioning at all (we knew that, but did not expect temperatures > 35°). It was possible to sleep with both balcony door and dorm window open, having both ceiling fan and mobile ventilator on, all night long. Shade seems to be rare anywhere on that island (including the swimming pool area), but coming back in the hot hours of the afternoon for a siesta is not a great idea - during daytime, better keep everything close, or else you'll be roasting in your room. We basically were in survival mode... in particular wife & son (I like it warm, but it was too much for me as well). The other negative point is the "stingy" approach to consumables: they would not provide ADDITIONAL toilet paper or garbage bags!? even though we paid nearly 200 Euros/night... there were some in place, but insufficient. The point is: supermarkets would only sell packs of these things - much more than needed! So - isn't it easier to just add TWO rolls and FOUR bags per week, instead of one and two, respectively?

The staff were very welcoming. The apartment was super clean and all the appliances in good working order. The beds were comfortable and the terrace with a small sea view was lovely. I didn't use the pool (too cold for me!) or the restaurant during my stay. I was walking the Cami de Cavalls and it was a great place for that. The bus stop is also just outside the apartments and the the Necropolis a short walk down the road.
My apartment was quite dated and rather dark inside. The pictures show whitewashed interiors, in mine there still remained a lot of dark wood and that felt a bit oppressive. Perhaps they are all being updated? The soundproofing is not great....you do hear your neighbours. Cala Morell itself is very quiet - there is not much there, not even a shop, except the small pantry at the apartments. Great if you are looking for peace and quiet but not if you are looking for entertainment.

The receptionist Hector was very friendly and we had a sea view
The on site shop was extremely limited and as we were walking there was nowhere else close by. Breakfast as a vegan was extremely poor - a couple of bruised bananas, some old melon and an apple. All of the taps leaked in the apartment and there was a very small amount of hot water available, the shower went cold within minutes and didn’t reheat when we tried again an hour later. We also had the misfortune that wedding guests were staying in the apartment below us and returned late and very noisily, so a very bad nights sleep to top it off.
