I have stayed at the Villa Medici in Veszprem a number of times on work trips and it never disappoints. The staff are always polite and eager to assist, the rooms scrupulously clean, light and airy. Breakfast is a buffet, or a hot egg based dish, I always enjoy an omelette. Not forgetting the two restaurants on the same site which offer excellent evening meals and a terrace area for a quiet drink and relax. Veszprem is also a hidden gem of a town.
Maybe a slightly later checkout than 1000, but more an observation than a complaint.

The environment, the park of the hotel and its surroundings are second to none. You are 15 mins walk from the city centre, 10 mins from the castle of Veszprem that is breathtakingly beautiful. The hotel is well kept, but not much has changed in the last 15 years since I was last there. The beds are comfy, the room was overall stylish.
It is maybe just me, but the door was super thin / light hence all noises could come thru from the corridors and other guest rooms. You go to a hotel to chill and relax, so doors are must be proper and sound isolation should be top priority of a 4 star hotel. The “Nosztalgia Restaurant” that belongs to the hotel is extremely overpriced, and the food was well, okay(ish): so you’d better go into the city centre where you can find quality restaurants of any kind.
