The front-desk employees were always extremely nice, helpful and attentive. They made sure we had all the information we needed and were very hands-on whenever we asked for assistance. The hotel is cute, comfortable and offers good value for the price, especially if you are visiting Puerto Rico mainly to explore, shop and enjoy the island. The location is also very convenient. There is a pedestrian bridge right outside the hotel that crosses the highway and takes you directly into Isla Verde. Within about five minutes, you can reach restaurants, shops, some nightlife and the beach. Although our stay happened during a drought with scheduled water interruptions, the hotel handled the situation very well. We were always informed of the water schedule, and the staff could turn on the cistern temporarily whenever we needed to shower or use the bathroom. I had also read comments about the hotel being very noisy because of the nearby highway, but personally, I did not find the traffic noise too disturbing.
There isn’t much to do at the hotel itself, and the pool was unavailable during our stay because of the drought. Breakfast was quite simple, with basic options such as eggs, cheese and bagels. It was enough to start the day, but we preferred eating elsewhere on most mornings. The rooms could also use some refreshing, and the bathroom was quite small, even for a couple. We stayed in Room 22 and noticed a few minor maintenance issues, including cracked tiles, a loose back-porch door that allowed wind to pass underneath, a flickering porch light and average TV quality. You can also sometimes hear guests in the neighboring rooms. These details did not ruin our stay, but some improvements would make the experience more comfortable. This hotel is better suited to travelers who plan to spend their days exploring rather than those looking for a relaxing, resort-style stay.

Very little parking space. They also charged us $15 for an alleged stained towel. We called them and made a claim because we did not stain any towels. We only used the towels in the bathroom for the one night we stayed. My wife had asked for an extra towel and the service brought it from a different room. We think that's what happened. They never gave us the refund or called us back as they said they would.
