For all the great reviews I was completely disappointed. Motel at best. May have been a great place 30 years ago. Today. A total dump. The only good things were the people who work there. So lovely. My advice do not go. It cost me $1,000. Or should have cost $500 at the most. Hostess mini cupcakes for breakfast and apples, oranges, bananas and horrible coffee. Have to walk across a narrow street to get to the beach. They have chairs and umbrellas for rent. Cost me $60 fo 5 days. The only Davi g grace was the beach access. They have 2 dogs that wonder around d. found poop on the upper balcony. Yuck. No hangers in the closet. A mini refrigerator in room w tiny freezer that had about a year’s worth on ice packed around it. No ice machine. Got bitten by many bugs at night. Just hoping mosquitoes and not bed bugs. Again lovely staff. Horrible place

The property is very conveniently located, it’s right across the street from the beach. The lobby is gorgeous with lush greenery and the back patio overlooks the ocean. My room was large with a huge bathroom with a big walk-in shower and plenty of hot water. I had a fridge and a microwave in my room. The staff is absolutely wonderful. The only thing is that the “continental breakfast” was awful. Stale, tiny cinnamon rolls, saltines, apples, oranges and biscotti. The only redeeming quality was that the coffee was good with plenty of sugar both white and raw brown. I’ll definitely be back!!

I loved the personal touch that Alberto added. Welcoming us like family members into his small hotel. Him and the rest of the staff was very accommodating. We needed a crib for our baby and there it was. Although the building itself is from 1959 and visibly antique, it has unique beauty that no modern hotel can offer. This is not a fancy hotel but I felt safe and cozy.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights. Beautiful location with ocean front terrace to sit and eat the breakfast and lunch provided by the hotel. Walking distance from two beautiful beaches and great restaurants and shops. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be staying here if we ever find ourselves in Puerto Rico again!

I loved staying at the playita because the staff is sooo nice. Thank you Yailin, Alberto, and sweet coco. My friends and i felt comfortable, safe, and the staff made us feel like family. They did everything to accommodate us and make sure our trip went perfect. I would definitely recommend.

The accommodations themselves were modest and clean. Nothing wrong with that. Such a cozy vibe. Veey quiet and laid back. The veranda is what will make is come back. We really enjoyed being able to sit and watch the water during meals. Also being able to enjoy our own drinks and cigars with a great view was awesome. Beach is right across the street. Grocery store is 15 min walk. Cvs was 15 min. Safe and quiet location. Loved all of the stray cats next door. Dog Coco on site was a nice treat.

Awesome location right by tons of activities at the beach. Other than that my wife and i wanted to avoid the property. There is no check in desk which was weird. The room feels very old including squeeky spring mattresses and seems like pillows/sheels old. Worst of all the toilet had brown spots on it (use your imagination). The toilet handle looked like a relic for a sunksn ship. The free ‘breakfast’ was hardly a breakfast. It seems like they are in process of renovating so in fairness, thhis could all be much improved soon

It was fantastic to meet the owner of the property, Alberto, and to see him around almost daily. The staff at La Playita were friendly and professional, the grounds were immaculate and beautiful, and the location is phenomenal. La Playita is charming and clean: I will definitely stay there again.

staying at la playita felt like spending time at a best friend’s house. by the time we left we knew the entire staff by name. upon arrival yaileen made us feel right at home. the room was spotless, a first floor with a view of isla verde beach. we were able to check in early so we could start enjoying the beach right away. maria took her new beach chair out of her car and let us borrow it for the entire state. the place has a heart-stopping view of a protected reef, and piñones and the atlantic beyond. pure bliss. sit on the deck at night for some serious sea breeze therapy. a crab or two may keep you company. say hello to coco, the resident pooch. she’s lovely and affectionate. puertorrican owned business, that stays in puerto rico. please support the island by staying here!!! you will not regret it! when we stayed the restaurant was not up, but there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. las canarias was a preferred spot for breakfast. from what we were told, restaurant should be up and running in october. then you may not need to leave la playita ever. we had a great time. we hope you visit.

I stayed 4 beautiful nights at The Playita Hotel. I loved it. I was able to relax and just enjoyed my stay. The staff is amazing, friendly and helpful. The room and surroundings are nice and clean. I really enjoyed the good Puerto Rican Coffee in the morning and the hotel Dog they have . I will be back to PR next year and will definitely stay at La Playita. Thank you so much for everything. The motel was quit and friendly family owned ,Right on the beach close to shopping, and dining. What i didn't like was no coffee pot in the rooms. We are coffee drinkers Other than that it was perfect. Highly recommend this motel.
