The location was excellent, very close to the Puerta del Sol, the centre of Madrid. Great sightseeing, dining, shopping and entertainment nearby. The staff were very helpful and friendly. An additional bonus: fridge in the room. I had stayed at Hostal Adriano before and it is one of the hostals I usually look for when I travel to Madrid.
The bathroom was small. But it didn't bother me as I am not a big or tall person.

The location is great! Near everything you want and even if there is noise outside the rooms are in the 4th floor and you’ll not hear a thing from the outside noise. The room was small but clean and the mattress pretty good.
It’s a hostel so do not expect much from services but what we experienced. Also I need to mention the noise from the rooms in the floor. There is no isolation at all so you literally can hear everything, even when people are talking normally, leave alone when they are drunk. We had a very bad experience on our first night when people next to us were arguing and knocking at all doors at midnight. They were screaming and heating the walls. I contacted the emergency number and even send a text through booking on which they never responded.
