We liked the location and the size of the room.

This place was the highlight of my one month stay in Rio. It was an unexpected diamond. I booked the room based off the price they had listed. I didn't expect much, but I got there, I was blown away. The room was great and the veiw was amazing. They have an AMAZING breakfast and serve food to order all day.
My toilet had an issue where it wouldn't;t completely fill after my first time flushing it. I left the room and when I returned a few hours later it was still filling. I jiggled the handle and that seemed to fix the problem. I notified the staff of what happened. The gentleman responded quickly. The walls are very thin, but there was no action that I know of during my time there.

Good view from the room balcony.
Close to the João Fernandes beach, but steep hill for that view.

It was possible to see the room was cleaned, but the smell of musty room was overpowering. Sheets were clean and fresh, but things like lampshade, curtains and wardrobe were smelling of mould. We had to sleep with the balcony door fully open to avoid the smell.
Guests screaming on a video call at 23.30 for over 30min and the reception said "there was nothing they could do about it"
Good selection in the breakfast buffet, but the flies made me worried about what I could actually eat.
Good view from the room, but uncomfortable to stay outside for longer than 10min because of the chairs.
Definitely not worth a "Superb" rating - unless you were pushed by the reception to rate high on Booking to protect someone's job.
