Situated in Avon, this charming house for $246 per night is a great option for your next trip. OCEANVIEW Avon - Between Pamlico Court and NC 12 - Make an epic journey of your own this year by reserving ODYSSEY II. This home is only 2 lots back from the ocean, only 1 lot south of 12 miles of pristine National Seashore and near to a windsurfing soundside access. Due to its fortunate location on a narrow part of the island, you will be able to enjoy both views of the sunrise over the ocean and sunset over the sound. The first level of the home features the game room with pool table, LCD TV and a wet bar with mini-fridge and microwave for hours of entertainment. Perfect accommodations are available for your little heroes just off the game room with 2 sets of bunk beds and their own private bath. Everyone can comfortably journey to all levels of this home using the convenient elevator. The second level features three master suites (2 kings, 1 queen) each with its own private deck entrance. The top level of this home offers a king master suite, great room with kitchen, dining area and comfortable seating from which to enjoy the home theater system complete with TV, DVD and surround sound. You will delight in epicurean journeys and daily feasting in the ceramic tiled kitchen and dining area. Everyone will enjoy their own flat screen TV/DVD combo in most bedrooms. You can even journey to the World Wide Web via the wireless high speed internet access for an odyssey of the mind. So, don't miss your opportunity to make your own epic vacation memories with a journey to ODYSSEY II. *Guests have access to Kinnakeet Shores Pool & Tennis courts. You will sign in with the attendant using the house name. (5 masters) 1 king, 1 king, 1 king, 1 queen, 2 sets of bunks Full linens including sheets (with beds made), bath towels, hand towels, washcloths provided May 18 - August 30, 2024. Additional linens and towels available for rent. This property is managed by Surf or Sound Realty. More payment options available after booking. Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-refundable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. *You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. The house was okay but we had a few inconveniences during our stay. The pantry has an odd smell which another user mentioned as well. One of the King bedrooms on the 2nd floor had a slight odor also. The seat in the shower (which can be adjusted to fold up) had mold on the underside of it. The King bedroom on the top floor had visible mold in the air vent. The dishwasher kept needing to be reset. It would not operate without us having to do a reset. Reset took 12 minutes each time. We had to reset it three times during our week stay. The washing machine did not spin. This was a huge inconvenience since we had 12 people staying at the house, all of whom packed thinking we had a working washing machine. Surf or Sound was kind enough to let us use their machines during the hours they were open but we had to work around their schedule. After speaking with Surf or Sound, they informed us that appliances are not guaranteed to be in working order and they offered $75 credit for our inconvenience.
Additionally there were several roaches outside the property on the decks. Two were also seen inside the home, which prompted us to ensure we took nothing inside our homes prior to a thorough check. Unless you know for sure that these issues are resolved, i would not recommend staying here.
