Situated in Avon, this charming house for $550 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Dolphin Delight is a fabulous family friendly Semi-Oceanfront 5 Bedroom 4.5 Bath home with Private Pool and Spa. It is located only steps from a great beach and in the heart of Avon. Enjoy ocean views from either of the two decks facing the ocean and watch over the pool and volleyball court from the two decks facing the sound side of the island. Your family will not want to leave this wonderful second lot back home in Avon. Dolphin Delight will provide the perfect location to get away from it all. Covered parking under the house and a convenient dry entry that opens to the first level will make move-in a breeze. The four bedrooms on the first level make for a peaceful retreat. Each bedroom on this level has a 32” flat-screen TV with a DVD player. Two queen master suites on this level offer direct access to a covered deck overlooking the pool and volleyball court. The third queen bedroom has a door into a semi-private bathroom. The fourth bedroom has a bunk set and a single bed with a trundle. These two bedrooms have direct access to a covered deck with ocean views. The laundry is also on this level. On the top level, vaulted ceilings and large windows provide abundant natural light and offer ocean views. Watch a movie on the 55” flat-screen TV with an Internet-capable Blu-Ray DVD player in the living room. The sunny kitchen with breakfast bar is adjacent to the dining area, which has easy access to the spacious ocean-facing sundeck. The sun/game room includes a three-in-one bumper-pool table that can be used as a dining table, poker table or bumper pool table. From here there is also direct access out to the top deck overlooking the pool area, where there is a seating group under a covered portion and a picnic table for an outdoor eating option. Off the living area is a warm and inviting master bedroom with a king-size bed, 32" TV, and a DVD player. This master also has direct access to the rear sundeck facing west. A half bathroom providing common access completes this level. The private pool and hot tub are located on the sound-side of the house, with ample deck space and lounges for catching the sun rays or watching the children play. Grill your meals on either the gas grill located on the pool deck or at the charcoal grill in front of the house. Dolphin Delight’s fantastic location provides easy access to popular shopping, restaurants, water sports rental shops, and fishing/bait and tackle, as well as favorite ice cream shops. There is convenient beach access one house south or two houses north of Dolphin Delight where you will find a wonderful sandy beach and an outdoor shower will be waiting to freshen you up for the next round of fun. Store your gear in the under-house lockable storage room. Clean your catch of the day at the fish cleaning table while your kids play basketball out front or volleyball out back. Prepare for good times during day and night at Dolphin Delight. My family ranging from 3 years old to well...retired, enjoyed a wonderful stay at Dolphin Delight!
This house had everything! I brought things like extra hand soap and muffin tins, but all was provided. There are several large serving trays for charcuterie by the pool or large dinners, and service for at least 8. I was pleasantly surprised!
We stayed while a hurricane was offshore. It was wonderful to have the pool, especially in the back of the house, for windy days. The over wash from the ocean really came up a couple of the days. The folks across the street (Ocean Side houses) had trouble parking their cars out of the water and loading unload in knee deep water. We were high and dry at Dolphin Delight! We also received texts from Jeff to alert us to the possibility of high water and rip currents.
Linens provided were also already on the beds at arrival. Such a nice touch after a long road trip.
This property exceeded expectations, and I would highly recommend!

We had a fantastic week at Dolphin Delight. We were immediately happy with our choice when we opened the doors. It was immaculately clean and the beach was just a short walk away (viewable from the spacious decks). Jeff was very easy to get ahold of. We thought we had an issue and contacted him and he got right back to us (there was not an issue).
We will be back for sure!

This is our second stay at this house. We really love it here. Avon is very quiet and the location of this house is really nice. Super short walk to the beach. The set up is great for a large group and for kids. The kitchen is very well stocked and week cooked every night. Pool and hot tub are great. The only small thing I wish the host would do is switch the TV's to streaming/smart tvs. We travel with small kids who need a break and while they do have it hooked up to basic cable and a DVD player there are so many remotes and we couldn't get it to work half the time. I realize that's a SMALL critique about an overall great property but might be helpful to other families. But overall FIVE stars for sure. The host is also easy to reach and helpful.

House is awesome, very close to the Ocean. Three levels, pool, hot tub & game room. Nice bedrooms and bathrooms. Jeff the owner is very helpful and kind. Very clean and comfortable house. We loved our vacation.

It's been over 50 years since our last visit to the Outer banks and what a change. We last spent two weeks at the Hattaras Sands Campground and this time we stayed in Dolphin's Delight. Five Bedrooms, A large Pool and a Hot Tub, Just moving on up from a tent was most enjoyable. The House was in the best condition for our arrival and the entire Area was ready for us to enjoy. The beach walkthrough was nearby and with the entire national park for a beach , we pretty much had it all to ourselves.The town of Avon had all that we required, Restaurants, Bakery's, Supermarkets, Gas stations, Bait and Tackle stores, Mini Golf and of course Souvenir Stores.
Our Host Jeff wagner was available to answer any and all questions and always with a pleasant tone. Dolphin's Delight is the Perfect Family Getaway and will be enjoyed by many Family's in the Future. The Outer Banks is a Treasure that will be shared by countless families for eons to come. To All, Enjoy your stay at Dolphin's Delight....

The house was perfect for our family! Allowed us to walk to the beach in the morning, come back for lunch at the house and then enjoy the pool in the afternoon! The host was easy to communicate with and very responsive to anything we needed! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a low key getaway with a larger group!

Dolphin Delight in Avon was the perfect house for our family beach vacation! The home was bigger and nicer than what the pictures portrayed. The house was very clean and well kept. There was plenty of parking space and the house was on a quiet street. A very family friendly area. The house is very close to the beach. Just a couple minute walk.
The house was well stocked in the kitchen for all your cooking needs and had plenty of room for a couple cooks at the same time. The living room was spacious with comfortable couches and chairs. The dining area had a long table to fit our extended family of 12. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice and helpful that most of the bedrooms had private bathrooms. The washer and dryer are newer and worked well. We LOVED having a pool and hot tub at Dolphin Delight!! Such a treat when our kids were tired of the sand but still wanted to swim. We loved the 2 decks on both sides of the house and that each bedroom had an entrance onto the decks. There was plenty of seating on the decks- some out in the open sun, and some covered with shade for whatever you wanted in the moment.
We can’t say enough about the area of Avon. We truly felt like we had gotten away from all the hustle and bustle of life. The extra hour drive south past the popular locations of Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head was worth it! You have all you need for vacation in Avon. Very family friendly! We would definitely return again!!

The house was perfect. Very clean, spacious, and right next to the public beach access path. The pool and hot tub were both very clean. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great, but we stayed busy in and around the house and utilized the hot tub on the chilly nights! 10/10 would recommend!

Pros verses Cons
Great location & proximity to the beach. There was ten in our group, with everyone having plenty of space. Only fault, we could find, was that with a large group, we could have used a second refrigerator. However, the Pros far out weighed any cons. Would recommend this home any time.

Property is very well maintained and pictures do not fully capture the home. It was more space than we needed, a quick walk to the beach, and the pool was perfect.

Truly a delight!
This was the best beach vacation my family and I have ever been on! Dolphin Delight was beautiful and perfect for our large family. We loved the views from the multiple decks and enjoyed the pool and hot tub! I highly recommend this property to any large family who is looking to stay in outer banks for vacation!

A True Delight!
We had such a wonderful stay at Dolphin Delight. The house was a bit large for our family of five but we can't complain! We hope to return with friends in a few years.
Avon is a quiet area which was what we wanted. The house is across the street from the beach; it was such a quick walk that in many instances we didn't even bother bringing towels to the beach - we would just walk back to the house when we were ready to dry off. We spent every day (multiple times a day) in the pool and my husband and I enjoyed the hot tub after the kids went to bed almost every night.
The house has large decks on both the beach and sound sides. We loved sitting on the front deck at night, listening to the waves and looking at the stars.
Jeff was easy to communicate with throughout our stay. This house is a gem, we can't wait to come back!

A great getaway!
We had a great week away at Dolphin Delight! We had a total of 5 couples staying and we had so much space, the photos don't do it justice! After a day at the beach we would come back and hop right into the pool and hot tub. An exceptional stay right across from the beach, 10/10 would recommend!!

Such a Wonderful Beach Trip at Dolphin Delight
We had such a great time at Dolphin Delight. The house was a perfect size for three families, well laid out so we weren't right on top of each other, and a perfect distance to the beach for little ones! Also, even though we weren't directly on the beach, we still had a beautiful view of the ocean!
Jeff and Melissa were lovely hosts and easy to contact. In fact, right after I checked all of us out, I asked to book Dolphin Delight for next year - we loved it so much!

Location is PERFECT!
Wow- we loved this house. Multiple families with young children, the layout was perfect. Very close to the beach. The pool was large and we loved the seats in the pool. Overall we just had a great time in Avon. Would definitely recommend this property! Thanks Jeff!

Dolphin Delight was a very clean, well stocked beach house in Avon, NC. It was in a great location, close to the beach access and close to the Food Lion for shopping. It had a large pool and nice hot tub as well. The owner was very easy to communicate with and always responded quickly if I contacted him with questions. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again!
